Recently, a marketing colleague of mine had an epiphany. He looked in the mirror and realized...

forum, asking for advice on how he should start, what he should do, etc.
Dozens of people chirped in with their two cents. And almost everyone recommended making
"small changes." Which sounds like great advice. Except for one thing. In my opinion...
Making Small Changes Is The WORST Course Of Action!
Let me prove it to you: Did you ever take a foreign language class in high school? (Spanish,
French, German... or maybe even Latin for our readers). If you DID take a foreign language class
in school... I'll bet you can't really speak a foreign language today.
Why? Because you spent 165 hours a week speaking your native language... and only a couple
hours a week working on the foreign language. And that simply won't get the job done. But if you
practiced total immersion and moved to a foreign country... you'd be fluent in no time. That's the
difference between "small changes" and total immersion.
Here's Another Example
If you want to learn Brazilian Jujitsu (a type of martial arts), you could sign up at a local shop and
take a class once a week. It might take a few years, but eventually you'd have the basics nailed
down. Or... you could live in a Brazilian dojo for a month. You could eat, sleep and breathe
Brazilian Jujitsu for 30 days straight. Which method do you think would be more effective?
The "Magical" Power Of An Extreme Deadline
I've discovered that the guys who make the most extreme physical transformation are the ones
forced to work against an extreme deadline. A while back, I wrote an article about Hollywood
actors who made incredible physique transformations. How did they do it? Simple... they were
working against extreme deadlines.
Rapid Fat Loss Due To Extreme Deadline
A while back, I decided to shed some unwanted body fat. I spent a few weeks trying to make small
changes (ie: eating healthier, attempting to be a little more active) but I wasn't happy with the
results. Finally... I got fed up. I got impatient. And I decided to devote 30 days to getting rid of my
excess body fat. Instead of making "small changes"... I decided to make massive changes. My
entire month was devoted to fat loss. In just 30 days, I dropped 15.8lbs of fat and actually built
new muscle.

January 1st Is On The Horizon
"Resolution Day" is rapidly approaching. And almost single person sets some sort of fitness goal.
But I have a challenge for you. Don't set a goal for the entire year. Set a goal just for the month of
January. Set a big goal. A scary goal. Devote the entire month to getting the body you want. Small
changes? Small changes are for small people. Make massive changes. Take massive action. And
you'll reap massive rewards.
