BIOGRAPHY OF RISHIP DIRECTOR MS. MARIA N. SANSIVERI
Ms. Sansiveri, SHIP director, has held her current position since January 2007. The RISHIP is housed at the Rhode
Island Department of Elderly Affairs. SHIP is a federally funded program that educates Rhode Island Medicare and Medi-
caid beneficiaries about their health insurance choices, such as Medicare, Medicaid, Medigap, long–term care insur-
ance, managed care, and prescription drug coverage. Besides the SHIP program, Mrs. Sansiveri manages the Senior
Medicare Patrol and the Health Promotion programs.
