Here’s the story…
I’m running websites since 6 years in many languages and niches. I have many
portals, forums, blogs and mini sites in many niches. I never had enough time to
care about my new projects but I always have new ideas for new projects and I
leave the old ones and begin new ones as many other web fanatics over the
internet.
My first autoblog was started 3 years back on self hosted Wordpress with some
RSS plugins that I modified to parse the content from the RSS Feeds and post
them on my blog. I thought that I invented something and I own a goldmine. I
started many other autoblogs, tested new modifications of the plugin, but newer
had a better success with them as with the startup plugin and autoblog.
I created about 7 autoblogs in different niches, that had about 50-70 unique
visitors daily that was not enough for me at all, since I had other websites with
1000+ visitors and the niches were big enough for a bigger traffic.
I decided to start a general blog and not a niche specific to tap into a bigger
market I made a HUGE autoblog that caused extreme server load with my scripts
full of BUG’s but I was in a big market, in fact in the full market.
Well… after few months I had to stop the whole project since I was banned from
Google that was my primary traffic source even if I had only about 300 daily
visitors. Checked my other niche targeted autoblogs to and a part of them was
also banned.
In the past from that banning I tried many systems, read a lot about autoblogs
invested in many plugins and software’s, had bigger and smaller success to with
them but all the systems that I used were just a lot of trash. Or I was banned
because duplicated content or the generated/spinned content was just some
trash that I don’t want to see on my websites.

In the near past as I was on a party with my friends I begun to explain some things
about web mastering, Search Engine Optimization and internet marketing to one
of my friends, mentioned that I have a lot of websites and so on, nothing special…
but then my friend as about the niches of the websites. I begun to list the biggest
one and I told him that I also have many autoblogs that don’t worth anything.
Since I forgot to mention my image hosting site I added that one to on the end of
the list and then came the idea, the idea that created all of this since as I
mentioned my autoblogs and my image hosting website I observed that all my
autoblogs are text based that has duplicated or trash content, but what about
images? An image can’t be duplicate, in fact CAN BE but who cares? Images are
not as text since if someone copies a text and publish it on his own site than it’s
duplicated, but we see many pictures, photos, images over the internet on many
websites and blogs and all of those are the same.
And then I was shocked that how I don’t observed this before and just now since I
visit many blogs like AcidCow.com or FailBlog.org and many others and I always
see duplicated images on these sites and these sites have a huge traffic and a
huge exposure regarding to the new traffic exchange mania around 2leep.com
mgid.com and all the other websites but we talk about these later.
So the idea was extremely simple, create IMAGE AUTOBLOG and not simple
AUTOBLOG. That’s so easy and evident just need’s any RSS to Wordpress plugin
and to drop text and use just the images.
So this is the “simplified” version of the idea, and now it’s time to begin the STEP
BY STEP guide to make a successful image autoblog. Get a coffee sit back and
read. I suggest you that first time read the whole eBook and after that get back
here and begin the whole process from the First Step and create your own
autoblog. I created the whole thing in about 3 days but this won’t will take that
much time from you since you don’t have to try or test anything since all the
information that you need can be found here.

What you will need
Here is the list of all the software’s, scripts, websites that you will need for your
autoblog. The list contains direct access links to all the sites and scripts that are
not created by me so these are not included in this package.
1. Hosting
Since you need Wordpress for your autoblog, you need a hosting for it that
you probably have already if you read this eBook. You can use any hosting
but I suggest you to use Hostgator since this is the host that I use for my
autoblog to. You can get a host from Hostgator by visiting this link:

2. Domain
You will need a domain for your website. In fact any domain can be used
but is suggested to use a domain with a funny or sexy feeling like
SexyFails.com, EpicFails.com, WinOrFail.com, FunnyFails.com,
EpicPhotos.com and so on (just some ideas, don’t checked if these are
registered or free). If you don’t have any domain that you can use, than you
can register one cheap at your favorite domain registrator as GoDaddy,
Dynadot or NameCheap.
3. Wordpress
No it’s not the Wordpress.com free blog hosting service. For the autoblog
you will need a self hosted Wordpress. If you are using Hostgator as I
mentioned than you have cPanel but also cPanel can be found at other
webhosts to from where you can install Wordpress with some simple
mouse clicks or you can install Wordpress on any host and if you don’t
know how, than you can find a lot of tutorials about Wordpress installation
over the internet, just searching for Google After it: Wordpress Installation

4. Scripts
All the scripts that you will need are included in the package, and all of
them are mentioned at the corresponding section of the eBook. All of the
scripts and code snippets can be implemented easy even if you don’t have
any programming knowledge.
5. You will need some plugin for your Wordpress to have a successful
autoblog but one plugin is essential that will get and post the content from
the RSS Feeds. Here you can choose any Wordpress autoblog plugin but I
tried two that will work 100%.
Option A.) WP-o-Matic - Makes autoblogging a snap by automatically
creating posts from the RSS/Atom feeds you choose, which are organized
into campaigns. Chose this one or any other autoblog plugin that can get
images from RSS Feeds if you don’t want to invest anything in your
autoblog since WP-O-Matic is FREE.
Option B.) WP Robot - Powerful autoblogging plugin for Wordpress
weblogs. Automatically post Youtube Videos, Amazon Products, eBay
auctions, Clickbank ads and much more to your blog without lifting a finger.
This is a PAYD plugin so you will need to invest some money if you don’t
have in your arsenal already, but you will get a really powerful plugin.
And that’s all… The following steps will include anything that you need you just
need to have a clean Wordpress installation, and some free time. Follow the
following steps and let’s start creating your image autoblog. If you think that you
know a better way for getting the same results or better as I mention you can
swap my steps to yours and continue in your way but if you don’t know what are
you doing, than just follow my steps instead.

Installing your plugins
First of all we need to set up your Wordpress installation. You will need some
plugins to get some nice results but you can just skip these plugin installations
(except the autoblog plugin that you will use) and go ahead. This is not suggested
and to get serious result you have to follow all the steps that you will get.
Installing Wordpress plugins is easy, don’t think that I have to teach you how you
can do it, and if you don’t know, you can find a lot of tutorials about Wordpress
plugin installation over the internet. Here are the plugins that you will need.
Install them all, activate all the plugins and configure them as you want.
Statpress – For tracking your statistics and keeping you motivated. You can use
other statistics plugins to or Google Analytics to, or both of them; I just use
Statpress and Google Analytics.
Autosave Title As Tags – If you are using a plugin that don’t support automatic
tagging, this is the best and easiest choice to create tags for your posts
automatically. (Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the plugin download)
Google XML Sitemaps – Automatically generates and submits your sitemap to the
big Search Engines as Google, Yahoo or Bing.
HeadSpace2 – The most powerful Meta Tag manager for Wordpress that I ever
used. U can use also All in One SEO Pack or any other plugin that you like but if
you are don’t familiar with any of them, than just use Headspace2.
Relevanssi – Changes the Wordpress built-in search feature to a much better
search. Will be used lately in one of the methods for getting traffic. Just install it
and activate it, and change any setting that you want.

SEO Friendly Images – Automatically generates ALT and TITLE tags for all of the
images in your post that helps your optimization for image searches in search
engines.
SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2 – Increases your page numbers, converts your
searches to pages and so on, really useful. Install, activate and add your widgets
to your theme.
Sharebar – Adds a sexy floating sharing bar to your posts. Really useful to go viral
with your posts and get a bigger exposure. Install it and activate it and after that
set it up as you want and how looks better on your website.
Yet Another Related Posts Plugin - With this plugin you can add easily a related
posts feature to your blog posts, so you can be sure that your visitors will see all
your content about the keyword which one helped them to get on your website.
It’s a complex and powerful plugin, you can play with the settings of the plugin to
get the best results for your website and design.
Post-Thumb Revisited - Automatically creates and displays thumbnails for posts.
Numerous functions and options to modify themes are included. Simply scans
your post for images, and creates a post thumbnail from the first found image.
Useful if you use together with the previous plugin, so you can add related posts
on the end of your posts, footer floating DIV, Popup or anything with links to your
related posts with Thumbnails and not only listing the titles for the related posts.
WordPress Mobile Pack - Is a complete toolkit to help mobilize your Wordpress
site and blog. It includes a mobile switcher to select themes based on the type of
user that is visiting the site, a selection of mobile themes, extra widgets, device
adaptation and a mobile administration panel to allow users to edit the site or
write new posts when out and about. Mobile internet navigation is the future so
generate with this plugin a mobile version of your website and you will get 20-
30% more visitors than without it ;)
Autoblog Plugin – As mentioned before, use any autoblogging plugin but I suggest
you to use WP-O-Matic or WP Robot since I tested my autoblog with these two
plugins. If you don’t know any other, just go ahead with WP-O-Matic, will do the
work.

Setting up your Theme
After that you installed all plugins and activated them then configure them to
your own needs. For the Autoblog plugin I will show you later how to get the BEST
RSS Feeds for your autoblogging plugin, so just skip that and you will set it up
later.
You need a good theme for your Wordpress but you can use any theme that you
like. Depending on your theme you may need other modifications to for a better
look but this really depends on your theme and the system will work with any
Wordpress Theme that you choose for your website.
You will need some modifications that will drop the text from the content and
display only the images that are now much more precious this time. You need to
edit your theme ate various places but with the same code snippet. You need to
edit your homepage template (usually index.php), your main post template
(usually single.php) and the archives template (usually archive.php).
Can’t show you the exact same place where you need to change the code since
depends on your theme but you have to look for the following TAG in your theme:
OR or something like that,
this depends on your theme but these two are the mostly used tags. This tag in
fact displays the content of the post that is stored in your MySQL Database. We
have to manipulate this code to display only the images and nothing else. The
code is the same for all three files in most of cases but also this depends to on
your theme but can’t make any problems to find this code in your theme files.
So let’s take One By One:
Index.php – This is your main page (can be also home.php in some of the cases).
After you find the code specified before, you have to change to the following code
that I explain on the following page. Please copy the code for changing in your
theme from the INDEX DISPLAY CODE.txt file that can be found in this package.

This code simply gets the content of your post and transforms it in a virtual
webpage. Get’s the images one by one and get’s the attributes of the images like
SOURCE, ALT, TITLE, WIDTH and HEIGHT. The code can delete any small image
that can be some trash from the RSS Feed as logo’s smiley’s and so on so displays
only the high quality images.
So let’s take the code line by line since you may need to make modifications on
these lines. Leave the other part of the code untouched just edit the following
lines if is needed.

In this line is specified the minimum height of an image that is displayed. So if you
change the 149 to any other number than the minimum height of an image that is
displayed is BIGGER than the number that you specified. In the current stage
displays any images that are bigger in height as 149 PIXELS.
If you want to check the images after width and not after height, than simply
change $height to $width and modify the number as you want.
Also you can change the check to. In the current stage displays images BIGGER
THAN X but if you change the “>” to “” to “==” than displays only the images with the exact
same HEIGHT or WIDTH as you specified.
echo '';
This line displays all off the images one by one. Get’s the previously checked
attributes, rebuilds the image implementation code adds new values and displays
it. Also adds a simple check to all of the images that checks if a picture is working
and if has some errors than, delete’s that picture to, so don’t messes up, your
website with broken pictures.

$img['src'] holds the current URL of the picture
$img['alt'] holds the current ALT attribute of the image
$img['title'] holds the current TITLE attribute for the image
After the ALT tag you see a text that looks like this: - funny and hot pictures this
text is added to all of your current ALT tags that you have for your images. So if
you have a image with the ALT tag like “THIS IS A RED CAR” than after this code
will look like this: “THIS IS A RED CAR – funny and hot pictures”. This can be
changed to anything or removed completely but please touch only this sentence
and don’t delete any other character from the code.
After the TITLE tag you see this text: - funny fail picture dump does basically the
same as the code before only that this adds this text to the TITLE attribute. This
text also can be changed or deleted, depending on your needs.
if ($i == 3 ) { break;} this code dose the magic on your homepage. Since we don’t
want that the visitors check only our main page and don’t check our post pages
where we can add a lot more advertising or something we display on the
homepage only 3 images from that post, so the visitor have to click on the post
title, read more link or anything that you have to access the main post page.
You can edit this line to any number of pictures that you want to print out on your
index page or if you want to display anything than simple DELETE this line and you
are ready to go.

comment but what you put here is displayed if a page don’t corresponds to our
SIZE CHECK. So if you want you can add a simple “IMAGE TO SMALL” dummy
image or simple text, or better just leave it how it is.

Ok, now let’s HACK the code for you main post page so you can add some
advertising to tour posts. These banners or text that you include will be shown on
all of the posts. So let’s say that you want to add a simple adsense advert in your
posts. Since now the content is regenerated from the code, probably that you
other add injection plugins line Mighty Adsense or others won’t work. Ok this isn’t
true this time since you can’t have more than 3 adsense blocks on the same page
but you can use any code that you want.
OPTION ONE FOR ADD INJECTION: Let’s say that you want to add the advertising
after each 3 image, so the structure of the page will be:
IMAGE, IMAGE, IMAGE, ADVERTISING, IMAGE, IMAGE, IMAGE, ADVERTISING,
IMAGE, …, … Than you have to modify the code like this for your main post page:
The original code line looks like this in your POST DISPLAY CODE.txt:

Now we will change it this way:
if ($i % 3 == 0 ) {echo ‘YOUR ADD CODE HERE’; }
So what you put in the YOUR ADD CODE HERE section will be displayed after
every 3 image. The number 3 can be changed to any number that you want, so for
example If you change it to 2 than after every second image will be displayed your
add. Beware that you can’t use any ‘ just “ in your code, or if is necessary, than
use \’ instead off just a ‘ .
Or if you want to do it in a smarter way, than you add your add code in a external
PHP file and after that you just include that file in your current page. If you are
choosing the “smarter way” than you can use the following code to include the
file:

You have to edit the /PATHTO/YOURFILE.php with the bath to your file that
contains your add code. If you mess up something and you get some PHP errors
you can always change it back to the original code, so play with it as you want.

OPTION TWO FOR ADD INJECTION: If you don’t want that every second or third
object to be an Add, tan you can display only after a specific number or even
more times. So you can display your add after the third image only or after the
third and ninth image to or as many times you want.
If you choose this way than you can use the following line:

This line will show your add after the third image from your included PHP file or
you can use direct ADD code to changing the include(TEMPL…. as seen before. If
you want to display a different or the same add block later for example after the
fifth image to than you simple add a new line in the code. You duplicate the base
code line and edit the number 3 in the second line of code to 5. This way your
code will look like this:

Or if you want to display different add than:

This way you can use adsense to since is displayed only where you want ;)
Ok, I hope that you understand how this code works and what it does now you
have to make the changes. I added to the package three files that can be found in
the CODE SNIPPETS folder. The folder contains three TXT files where you can edit
the codes as you want and copy them to make the changes in your Wordpress
theme. The names of the files are self explanatory so there can’t be any problem
changing those 3 lines in your theme files.

Now let’s hack our pages so we will get a lot more search results in search engines
and also generate new relevant content to our images. This is optional, since this
can generate some funny BUT powerful content that search engines will love and
we will tap into some untouched niches.
This hack can be implemented in the single.php file. It’s recommended to put it at
the really end of your post so don’t disturbs anyone but also helps you a lot. Also
this can be used in the sidebar to as a widget for Wordpress single pages. The
code that you have to insert in the end of your posts (after the code that you
implemented before):
">UNSEEN
Let’s analyze this code:
This will create a link to a search page generated with the Relevanssi plugin that
you installed before. The search page is generated from the title of the post and
an extra keyword, what this time is the “UNSEEN”. So if you have a post with a
title like “Big red Ferrari pictures” than on the bottom of the post will be
generated a link like this: “UNSEEN Big red Ferrari pictures” linking to the search
page that contains relevant posts to the title + keyword combo that basically has
very similar content, but other meta information thanks to Headspace2 and this
means new positions in the search engines. Since these are links, the pages are
indexed immediately with our new post. The UNSEEN and
codes can be swapped as you want, but then you have to swap it in both places.
The beauty of this single line is that you can duplicate it as many times as you
want. So you can create many new content and keywords in the same time. Just
duplicate this line and change the UNSEEN keyword to anything that you want on
both places in the line.
Few ideas for you to start with: unseen, cool, epic, fail, new pictures, unseen
pictures, etc. It’s suggested to use some general keyword since some keywords
will look nasty if you use for example a “Sexy Hair” keyword and a “Big red Ferrari
pictures” title since will result in a “Sexy Hair Big red Ferrari pictures” title. It’s
safe but don’t exaggerate it. (I’m using 11 links like this on my autoblog)

Hunting for RSS Feeds
The brain of an autoblog is the autoblogging plugin itself that take the content
from RSS Feeds BUT the soul of an autoblog is the RSS feed since without these
RSS Feeds out autoblogging plugin can’t make anything as our BRAIN don’t worth
anything without our soul.
We need real good RSS Feed’s for our autoblog that contains a lot of images that
we can display on our webpage. In the next step I will teach you how to get the
best RSS Feed’s for your blog. The best if you have as many RSS Feed’s in your
autoblogging plugin as you can get since this way your content is much more and
the content in really mixed and no one can say that your site has the same
content as the XZY site.
Ok… The best RSS Feed source is Blogspot.com since the biggest part of the blogs
have open and full feed not only a part of the content. Also a lot of Blogspot blogs
are OR banned because duplicated content or there aren’t indexed so these are
the best for us. So you need a lot of RSS Feed URL’s from Blogger. We will use
Google to get these RSS Feed’s. Let’s make a search on Google with the following
keyword:
“site:blogspot.com funny images” without quotation marks. This way you will get
only Blogspot.com blogs with the keyword of FUNNY IMAGES. The FUNNY
IMAGES keyword can be changed to any keyword that you want to use, for
example here are some useful search terms to help your hunt:
“site:blogspot.com funny images”
“site:blogspot.com fail collection images”
“site:blogspot.com funny image collection”
“site:blogspot.com epic fails”
“site:blogspot.com epic fail pictures”

Depending from where and what you search you should get MANY MILLONS of
results. Simple visit any of the blog and click on that Orange Square Icon in your
browsers navigation bar (in Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome) and that’s an RSS
Feed. If the feed is full feed and don’t contain only titles or titles and few lines of
text than you got a great feed that you can use.
I tell you another method that DON’T works in all of the chases (but in most of
them), to get FULL RSS Feed’s. There’s a FREE webpage that has also a paid
partnership program but we can use the free service. You can visit the page at
FIVEFILTER.ORG that can generate a FULL RSS Feed from any PARTIAL RSS Feed.
You have just to enter the partial RSS Feed URL and click on “Create feed” and
voila, you have a full RSS feed that you can use on your autoblog. I suggest to you
to use this method only if you can’t find enough Blogspot.com RSS Feed’s or
there’s a blog from where you want to steal the content desperately since this
don’t works all times, and you can get FEW blank posts or partial posts on your
autoblog.
Get as many feed’s as you can and use them all, but if you want only nice results
and a great looking website without blank posts or posts with 1-2 images than use
ONLY Blogspot RSS Feed’s. Currently I’m using 128 RSS Feeds and I add new ones
if I find some in the mean time. Took me about 2-3 hours to create this list, but
trust me worth the time .
Add the RSS Feed URL’s to your autoblogging plugin and create some posts or
wait until the automation creates new ones (depending on your plugin). If you
have enough RSS Feed’s in your plugin you can set it to post a new post in every
HOUR . As I said I have 128 Feed’s and I’m posting ONE post on every hour and 2
posts in every 4 hour so this means a lot of new posts every day, for this you need
to have a lot of RSS Feed’s to always have fresh content in the Feed’s that can be
posted to your autoblog.

Get FREE traffic
Your autoblog in fact is done and you can forget it if you want, but if you want to
make it in the good way than we are not finished yet, since we need some traffic
to our blog and also some backlinks.
I don’t begin to give you SEO tips and how to get backlinks since you probably
know already how to make it, just get only about 300-500 backlinks to your
website that can be easy as 1-2-3 and you already will see some serious results
that will blow your mind.
I don’t want to sell for you information that you already may know or it’s inutile
for you so I just say that JUST GET SOME BACKLINKS and that’s all. BUT since I
don’t help you for getting backlinks, I teach you how to get some ridiculous traffic
form already made FREE services that I mentioned before.
There’s a new TREND around the image blog or fun blog niche that is called only
Traffic exchange that sounds familiar to all of us but these sites have been picked
up and used in the past as I never seen .
I mentioned about the website 2leep.com and mgid.com that you probably saw
already and probably you hate them to for those nasty popunders but these
websites are goldmines and have a HUGE traffic and exposure. There are many
more websites like that and since the source code of these sites got public on
some places there will grow more in the future.
These websites will easily double or triple your traffic and I’m not exaggerating
here. These website are really powerful for image blogs as ours.

1. Submit your sitemap to Google.
Register at http://google.com/webmasters/ and submit your website for
faster and better indexing. If you installed Google XML Sitemaps as I
suggested to you to do so, than your sitemap URL should be
www.YOURDOMAIN.com/sitemap.xml
2. Get some easy backlinks automatically
If you don’t know how you can get backlinks easily than you can check out
software named “Sick Submitter”. Just search after it in Google. This
software can create for you links from link directories and forum profiles.
3. Use RSS and not XML Feed’s
I tested many of them but I noticed that RSS feeds work better and don’t
have any problems at publishing as the XML Feed’s.
4. Post your posts to Twitter
Use any POST TO TWITTER plugin if you have a Twitter profile with
followers to get some instant traffic to your new posts. These types of sites
are popular for any gender or age so will work with any Twitter profile that
you may have.
5. Use Ping.fm
If you have many profiles at the popular social websites like Twitter,
Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Buzz etc., use www.Ping.fm to update all of
your profiles from one place.
