3. Take bread out of bag or wrapping.
4. At home get out knife and cutting board if bread is not already sliced. If it is already sliced ignore these next four
steps.
5. Place bread onto cutting board.
6. Vertically cut into bread with knife.
7. Cut slices about 2cm thick. Try to make all the slices the same size.
8. After slicing the bread rest your hands so you do not pull any finger or hand muscles.
9. Get out toaster.
10. Make sure it is properly cleaned and is not electronically damaged, for that could result in a loss of toast or
serious fire.
11. Plug toaster into outlet. Make sure that cord is not frayed or broken. If it is dispose of it or buy a new cord.
12. Make sure toaster is away from water.
13. Place bread in toaster slots.
14. Make sure bread is neither to large, so that is showing way out of the toaster, or too small, so that it is to small to
get out of the slot when toasted.
15. Set level of heat on toaster to around the middle setting.
16. Push down on the lever or button that would start the toaster
17. Wait the couple of minutes until the toast pops. This will usually be signalled by a loud sort of bang.
18. After toast is done carefully remove from toaster.
19. Place toast on plate. Butter toast with butter knife while it is still hot so that the butter melts on the bread.
