1. Purpose
This document is provided so that reader can get a brief idea of how a SAN or Storage Area Network
is implemented. In the following pages you will look at

2. Existing Configuration
The client had the following systems. All of the storage for these systems was distributed and there
was no central storage. Basically, they had the same setup that existed in any other IT setup.
