“Our sincere thanks to you for the terrific job at our annual Media Conversion Study seminar.
We’re confident that the constituents and media who attended found the presentation informative
and interesting. From the many requests for a copy of the report and the press coverage of our
event, we’re pleased with the event’s outcome.
We appreciate the effort of your team, given the Bureau’s restricted time frame and budget, and
certainly hope the next research survey is less challenging.
On behalf of our constituents and Board of Directors, please accept our appreciation for all your
dedication and professionalism!”

“We have had the pleasure of working with The Center for Research over the past several years.
Jerry Lindsley’s exceptional analytical ability and insights into the health care industry enabled us to
fashion survey research that provided us with meaningful data. With the help of The Center for
Research, we have effectively used the results of our research to enhance the effectiveness of our
programs and to be more responsive to the needs of our patients.”

“Within the context of an update of the Hospital’s strategic plan, we felt it appropriate to initiate a
community needs assessment to assist us in looking at such areas as service mix, thrust of our
marketing efforts and general perceptions with Washington County (Rhode Island) concerning
health and social service needs. We also wanted to take a snapshot of public awareness and opinion
of the Hospital, its affiliates and our continuum of care…
This data will be used in the final calendar as the Hospital completes its strategic planning exercise.
It also has generated useful data on target audience health care preferences, selections and awareness
as well as the impact of various media and promotional outlets in influencing consumer choice…
Throughout the entire process, the Center staff acted in a timely, responsive and professional
manner, assisting the Hospital in our planning, execution of the research instruments and
subsequent analysis of data. We would be pleased to recommend The Center for Research & Public
Policy to other interested organizations.”

“We found The Center for Research & Public Policy through recommendations. They helped us
refine some questions that would help us identify key, compelling messages. We did this through
better understanding of what people value about marshes, and why (and if) they saw them worthy of
saving. Then the Center implemented a thoroughly professional telephone survey, and we had the
tabulated results within just a few weeks.
The Center for Research & Public Policy has been invaluable in their ability to quantify “where we
were” and to give us marketing tools to help us reach the audience we need to inform and persuade
to help us.”

“The recent Session of the Connecticut General Assembly was the best in at least a decade with
respect to property tax relief, and the public opinion poll by CRPP that CCM commissioned
contributed substantially to that outcome.
The poll’s results were very helpful in countering the argument that it was more important to reduce
the personal income tax and gas tax than to reduce property taxes. The poll, and your presentations
of its findings, were very persuasive and played an important role in convincing state legislators that
property tax should be given high priority.
I am particularly appreciative of your relationship with CCM’s staff in planning for and reporting on
the survey. I especially admired the way you were able to be both professionally independent and
responsive to our own expertise and points of view.”
Joel Cogen
Executive Director
Connecticut Conference of Municipalities
“The Center for Research & Public Policy designed an evaluation tool for our use. The evaluation
design was user friendly and unobtrusive, and provided us with wonderful information which we
submitted to the funder of the centers…The results showed us that this approach was extremely
effective.
Jerry and his staff worked closely with me and my staff and provided us a design that was valuable. I
recommend their services to any funder or government entity that wants to look at how the
programs they fund are performing, ensuring that funds are well spent.”

Socio/Economic Status of Latinos in Connecticut and the second a summary of a day long
conference on Childhood Lead Poisoning. Both projects were completed to the total satisfaction of
the Commission…LPRAC is very pleased and satisfied with the work The Center for Research &
Public Policy did for us. The quality was outstanding and first rate. LPRAC would not hesitate to
recommend the Center and its staff to anyone. We look forward to working with the Center on
future endeavors.”

“The Center for Research & Public Policy conducted various polls throughout the eight senatorial
districts of Puerto Rico. An island wide sample was prepared and those interviewed were asked
about what issues were most important to them and their perceptions about current events taking
place on the Island.
The New Progressive Party Senatorial Campaign Committee was able to use the data provided by
the Center and their recommendations to help our members develop strategy and target their
campaign message in a more effective manner.
The results were remarkable…The work done by the Center for Research proved to be an
invaluable tool in our campaign effort and was crucial to our success. We look forward to working
with Jerry Lindsley and his staff in the future.”
