The Scottish Flags
There are two flags of Scotland one with the
big cross in the middle and the other one
is the royal flag of Scotland. The flag with
the cross in the middle of the flag is based
on the St. Andrew’s cross.
Location
Scotland is a country that is
apart of the United Kingdom.
Scotland is in the north west
of Europe.
Capital
The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. Edinburgh is the
second largest city. Edinburgh is the hub of the
Scottish Enlightenment of the 18th century, which
transformed Scotland into one of these commercial,
intellectual and industrial powerhouses of Europe.

There are some evidence that shows
Irish men and English men as the kilt
first wearers. Even evidences from
11th centuries. Unfortunately, those
evidence aren’t written one but also
pictures that are showing probably
something else than kilts.
Scotland Is Famous For…
Its fresh water lochs (lakes) – there
are over 600 square miles of them.
One of the most famous is Loch Ness
where a mysterious monster is said
to lurk in the depths of the water.
It is also famous for its clans, kilts,
medieval castles, as well as poetry
and songs of Robert Burns.
Theatre lovers from around the
world come to Edinburgh for its
famous theatres festival.

Arbroath Smokie –
A wood- smoked haddock.
Bannocks (or Oatcakes) -
A barley and oat flour biscuit baked on a griddle.
Scottish Beef –
The Aberdeen- Angus breed of beef cattle .
Scotch Broth or Hotch Potch
A rich stock is traditionally made by boiling mutton
