Our Treasurer & President – The Koller’s
Larry retired in March from his position as a maintenance planner at Foundation Coal's
Emerald Mine, Waynesburg. Larry is multi-talented and has broad work experience in
building and construction, business and finance, industry, and technology. He has an
Associate Degree in Computer Programming from Research Associates, Arlington,
Virginia. Larry also developed Spirit, a specialty point-of-sale software program, which
he marketed both nationally and internationally for about five years before the
introduction of Windows 95.
Donna also has broad work experience including business administration, sales, and
human resources, but her passion is the Lord’s work. Donna received advanced training
and certification in formative spirituality at Epiphany Association, Pittsburgh, PA, and
graduate certification in spiritual direction at the West Virginia Institute for Spirituality,
Charleston, WV. She is a retreat leader and spiritual director, a member of Spiritual
Directors International, and is trained to direct the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.
Donna has been involved in healing ministry since 1983; she joined the Order of St. Luke
in 2006. She was also a Hospice volunteer with the "Faith Into Action" group in Greene
County for several years.
The Koller’s have been active members of St. Ann Catholic Church, Waynesburg, since
1971. Larry served for over 25 years as an usher and volunteered his time and energy to
support fundraising events, service activities, and spiritual renewal and educational
programs. Donna served in the religious education and formation programs for children,
teens, and adults; youth group formation; as parish council member; and ministry of care.
She continues to serve in ministries of the altar (lector and extra-ordinary minister of the
Eucharist. During several years when they lived in the Jefferson area, the Koller’s were
also members of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Clarksville/Jefferson.
At the New Year 2005, the Koller’s were again stirred by a “call” that had been
germinating for some 20+ years. In response, they closed A Touch of Spirit—the
Christian bookstore and gift shop they had owned and operated since 1986—and co-
founded Servant Song Ministries. Donna and Larry now serve as full-time volunteer co-
directors of Servant Song Ministries and its Retreat House and Spirituality Center. Larry
handles the building and grounds; Donna handles the administration, programming, and
ministry services. They have living quarters at Servant Song, and have 2 adult children
and 5 grandchildren.
V.P. OF MINISTRY SERVICES—The Rev. Peter E. Ostrander
This position must be held by an ordained clergy person or professed religious.
Rev. Peter, an Episcopal priest ordained 1986, is the Vicar at Saint George’s Episcopal
Church, Waynesburg. He is a retired professor of physics and religious studies at Penn
State University, Fayette Campus. He is also the Regional Director of the International
Order of Saint Luke the Physician (OSL), an interdenominational organization that
fosters the continuation of Jesus Christ’s healing ministry in the church. As the Regional
Director of OSL, Rev. Peter presents workshops, healing missions, and is actively
involved in the planning and completion of regional conferences and retreats. As a
dedicated member of the ministry team at Servant Song, he offers private healing prayer
ministry weekly and periodically presents healing workshops at Servant Song. He lives in
Uniontown with his wife Polly; they have an adult daughter.
VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT—Nancy J. McClarren
Nancy, a long-time teacher of learning-disabled students, retired from the Jefferson-
Morgan School District after 28 years to care for her beloved husband Brent who went
home to the Lord in April 2006. Together they raised 3 children and now have 10
grandchildren. Nancy is a member of the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church where
she organized and taught Bible school; planned/implemented mid-week church services;
taught Sunday school and junior church; and organized and recorded a church Bible-
reading program. Nancy has been a “cheerleader” for Servant Song from the beginning
and generously shares her many talents and gifts regularly. Nancy, a Fayette County
native, lives in Mather.
SECRETARY—Mary L. Sielski
Mary, a long-time Greene Countian, lives in Waynesburg with her husband, Paul, and
five children. While raising their children, Mary pursued a degree in Interdisciplinary
Studies from Waynesburg College and is currently completing a second degree in history
education, expecting to graduate in the fall of 2008. She attends St. Ann Church,
Waynesburg, and also serves with her husband, a professor of mathematics at
Waynesburg College, as a sponsor of the Newman Club (an organization for Catholic
students) on campus. Mary, too, has been one of Servant Song’s “cheerleaders” and
brings new energy and many fresh and exciting ideas with her.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR—Kimberly L. Chambers
Kim, as she likes to be called, is the assistant director and a valuable member of the SSM
team. Working side-by-side with management and ministry staff in the day-to-day
operations, programs, and retreats, Kim’s “heart” for Servant Song is obvious. From the
beginning, she volunteered her time, talents, and energy to help get Servant Song “up and
running.” Now an employee, Kim is an “ex-officio with voice” (non-voting but fully
participating) board member. Kim is a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church,
Waynesburg. She has served the Christian community at St. Ann’s and Claughton
Chapel United Methodist, Waynesburg through volunteer activities that included fund
raising, soup kitchen, and food preparation and service. Kim and her husband Kevin live
in Waynesburg and have two adult daughters and a granddaughter.
