We all have to start somewhere, right? In the beginning, it can be incredibly frustrating to learn
guitar - especially when you're doing it on your own. I remember being incredibly frustrated, trying
to learn music, tune by ear, and started out with songs like "Mary had a little lamb." I was under
the assumption that this was the "right" way to do it, but after a while I lost interest and my guitar
collected dust for almost a year-until I discovered some easy guitar tabs.
Guitar tabs are readily available all over the internet, and can give you the satisfaction of keeping
your practice going. There's a lot more motivation to keep practicing when you're learning to play a
song that you love and are incredibly familiar with. Reading music is a great practice, but if you
don't maintain interest you certainly won't have the patience to learn the intricacies.
Once you find these easy guitar tabs, you'll find that the instrument really isn't so hard to play. It
just takes practice. You'll be able to build up your finger strength and practice chord positioning
while playing music that is a bit more involved than "Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star," but not so difficult
you're climbing the stairway to heaven. Tabs are great because they force you to push your limits,
and you'll be motivated to reach them.
The other great thing about easy guitar tabs is that you are able to work in a linear progression.
You start with incredibly simple songs, then move on to those that are a little more complex. The
more you practice, the better you will get. Soon you'll find yourself reading them easily, and
playing much more complicated chords.
You very well may want to go back and learn how to properly read music once you get the hang of
things. But there's no doubt that using easy guitar tabs is a great way to introduce you to the
foundations of guitar technique and build up your skills.
