Visit the Burke Museum!
Hours: The museum is open daily 10 am – 5 pm. On the FIRST Thursday of each month, the museum is
open 10 am – 8 pm.
Museum Closed: January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving Day, December 25; early closing at 3 PM on December
24.
Admission Information (new fixed fees):
General: $9.50
Seniors: $7.50
Children ages 5-18: $6.00
Museum members, children 4 and under, and UW students/staff/faculty, except for certain
special exhibits and programs: FREE
Free Day: Museum admission is free to the public on the first Thursday of each month, except for certain
special exhibits and programs.
Please note that there may be additional fees for certain special exhibits and programs.
Payment: The Burke Museum accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. The Burke
Café accepts cash and check only.
Membership: Museum members enjoy free admission. To join, please call (206) 616-6057.
Parking: On-campus parking is pro-rated depending on length of stay, and may range from $3–$15 on
weekdays (an up-front fee of $15 is required—cash only), and $3-6 on Saturday before noon (an up-front
fee of $6 is required—cash only). Parking is free after noon on Saturday and all day Sunday.
Visit by Bus: Numerous bus routes serve the UW campus. For information, call Metro Transit at (206) 553-

Directions: The Burke Museum is located just minutes from downtown Seattle, on the northwest corner of
the University of Washington campus near the corner of 17th Avenue NE and NE 45th Street.
From I-5, exit east onto NE 45th Street. Travel east on NE 45th Street to 17th Avenue NE. Turn right onto
17th. The museum will be immediately on your right. Ask gate attendant for parking directions.
From Highway 520, exit north onto Montlake Boulevard NE. Turn left onto NE Pacific Street. Turn right and
travel north on 15th Avenue NE. Turn right and travel east on NE 45th Street. Take the next right onto 17th
Avenue NE. The museum will be immediately on your right.
