CLUB VIDEO CAMERA
The club has a shiny new digital video camera that club members can use. Simply contact the
Equipment Secretary (equipment@fleet-feet.com) ahead of time and book it for the dates you
need.
To ensure people don't have the camera for long periods which might prevent other members
from using it, you can only book out the camera for a maximum of 1 week (sorry, no back-to-back
bookings).
When you pick-up the camera you will be required to leave a cheque for £50 as a deposit to
cover loss or damage. On return of the camera in a healthy state and with all its bits, the cheque
will be returned.
The only other conditions are that you must be a current FFT member, and that usage for club
events will always take priority over personal use (pre-booked or not).
Child Welfare Protection
If you will be using the camera at a location where minors could be videod or photographed, you
will need to ensure that you have either got permission from the location management or from
the guardians of all children present.
The camera records onto an internal hard disk drive (i.e. no removable media). Any recordings
you want to keep should be transferred from the camera before returning it. This can be done in
one of the following ways:
- Connect the camera to your video/DVD recorder and copy the recording
- Install supplied software onto a PC and upload the recorded files via the USB port. The
software can then be used to edit recordings and for burning them onto CD or DVD.
