o Each of the original 13 British (English) colonies in America using black pen or marker.
o The Back Country
o French Canada
o Draw in and label the Appalachian Mountains – Use some shade of Brown.
o Cities: Boston, Salem, Plymouth, New York City, Philadelphia, Jamestown, Roanoke, and Charlestown in Black pen
o The Atlantic Ocean
o Each of the Great Lakes
o The St. Lawrence River
Outline and color the four colonies that made up the New England Colonies Region some shade of Green.
Outline and color the four colonies that made up the Middle Colonies Region some shade of Yellow.
Outline and color the five colonies that made up the Southern Colonies Region some shade of Red.
Outline and color the Back Country region of the colonies Blue.
Graph Directions: Fill in the Graph below by reading pages 109 -129 in the Creating America text book. Identify the
climate that was generally related to each region in the Climate row. List the natural resources that were available in each
colonial region in the Natural Resources row. In the People row identify the various groups of people who immigrate and
settled in each of the colonial regions. Identify what each of the colonial regions used economically to create jobs, make
money, and sustain the population. List the colonies that made up each of the culturally distinct regions in the Colonies
