Guidelines on Reducing Images for Emailing
Option 1 – Windows Explorer / My Documents :
Open Windows Explorer / My Documents.
Open folder which contains your pictures.
Select on the pictures you would like to send -
o Select sequential images by clicking on clicking on first image then hold your sift
key and click on the last image you require.
o Select random images by holding down the Ctrl button and then clicking on the
images you require.
Right click mouse button - Select File -> Send to -> Mail recipient.
You will then get a pop up window asking if you would like to reduce the file size.
Click on the ‘make all my pictures smaller’.
A new email message will then open up with all the pictures attached that you selected
and the size will have been reduced.
Type in email address of the person you need to email and click send.
Option 2 – Microsoft Office Picture Manager :
Open your images with Microsoft Picture Manager
Select ‘Edit Picture’
Select ‘Resize Picture
Select ‘Predefined width and height’ and on scroll down button
Select ‘Web small’.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE IMAGE WHEN YOU SAVE
YOUR REDUCED IMAGE OTHERWISE YOU OVERWRITE YOUR ORIGINAL
PHOTO. (Use .edited or .reduced behind the image name)
Save your image
Make sure that the file size is not more than 250KB
In your email programme you can then in a new email attach the photos you have
reduced to email.
