For hundreds of years, the nude female form has inspired works of art from the classics to
modern abstract expressionism. In the name of art, the female form has been both appreciated
and objectified.
Joe Edelman’s goal is to appreciate the beauty in the female form and to create images that
result from a collaboration with the subject.
This hands-on photography workshop is designed to give you the skills and confidence needed
to make superior artistic images of the nude female form.
Working with 2 different live models, we will explore the following:
How to approach and plan a shoot
How to find and select models
How to work with models so that they are comfortable with the camera
How to create flattering poses
How to create dynamic images without posing at all
How to use light to define the female form
Taking Photoshop's potential into account before you shoot
...and more
Joe Edelman will show you how to pull all these elements together to produce high impact
images.
This photography workshop is designed to maximize shooting time with constant instruction
and guidance followed up with some basic Photoshop guidelines to finish your images.
* The attendance fee allows you to photograph the models but it does not include a signed release. You are free
to use the images in your personal print portfolio but they may not be published in any commercial venue without
a signed release. (Commercial venue means book, magazine, advertisement, video, web site – including your
business web site or modeling sites like Model Mayhem or OneModelPlace) In order to keep the cost of the
workshop down and to incentivize the models to give it one hundred percent, you will have the option of
purchasing a signed modeling release for a fee of $25.00 cash per model paid directly to the model. The signed
release will give you full usage rights to the image and will be provided by Joe Edelman. Releases will be signed at
the discretion of the model.
