Sprint HTC Evo 4G Androthea key: Sprint HTC Evo 4G Android mobile phone
(cell phone accessory)
Before discussing the hardware and the functionality of this phone, we
will quickly address the equation of five parts that make up the overall
user experience of smartphone:
(1) the material ... the phone
(2) an operating system
(3) applications installed
(4) of the network (in general, and in which the phone is used at a
specific time)
(5) service provider
In some cases, serial dependencies in the above factors, many phones are
tied to specific operating systems or service providers. Or maybe you
spend much time in an area without service 4G. Remember that even if you
make a great phone option, deficiencies in other areas can reduce their
overall user experience.
Do not switch to a smartphone without some research in this election. The
supplier? What mobile OS? Who can offer the best service or the best
combination of value and service? The rest of this review assumes that
you have discovered why a phone with the Android operating system might
be a better option for you as an iPhone, Blackberry or Windows smartphone
solution ...
Bottom line for the HTC EVO 4G: The function of loading, easy to use and
difficult to get a bad option crowded smartphone market.
Phone ships with an impressive array of features and applications, and
find and install new ones in the Android Market is easy even for non-
technical.
Two very strong performers in the pre-installed applications powered by
Google Voice Search and navigation: the two are strangely well in
providing search results and driving / walking directions. The voice over
the phone at the interface text is also very good, and can be used both
to compose text messages and delivery of search results without typing.
Surprisingly, a voice dialing application is based on the collection of
widgets operating system rarely right. Screen keyboard fits your Evo
compositions over time, and automatically fills in the words often
suggest that type.
The phone has two cameras: one facing external high resolution (8
megapixel) camera / video, and a 1.3 megapixel front camera for video
applications. It comes with an 8 GB microSD card A surprising oversight
of this phone is the placement of the microSD card inside the battery
compartment. Even if you can transfer files via USB, this phone could be
improved if the card is accessible without removing the back cover.
In addition to the USB port, the phone has an auxiliary audio input jack
of 3.5 mm and an HDMI port.
The back of the phone includes a "crutch", which adds support for the
phone in a horizontal surface when viewing the screen in landscape mode
(ideal for use the speakerphone or watching videos).
Customizing the navigation screen is intuitive. In our house, even novice
users Technology rearrange the icons and applications in no time.
Each of the quality of moving images, video, and yet satisfactory.
The overall finish of this phone is - literally - very smooth. You can go
to slide easily into the car leather seat, both on screen and the
framework to attract and show fingerprints. Whether or not you have opted
for damage / loss insurance that most providers offer, I highly recommend
both a screen protector and casing or holster something to offer minimal
protection for your phone.
Mnay options exist for the protection, but for our Evo multiple phones
found that to provide a good mix of protection and price:
- "Fishbone" protective case (red linked here, other colors available)
- Against the SGP Steinheil screensaver FingerprintSprint (fingerprints
against)
These protective devices, take the door instead of the phone and the
screen.
Other reviews have discussed the battery life, and worth addressing. This
phone has five independent radio transmission / reception devices:
The level-cell (3G/CDMA) transceiver
The transceiver-4G
-Bluetooth (short range devices using hands-free data exchange)
GPS receiver
Wifi-transceiver
Each of these devices will exert its own demand on the battery.
Selectively switched off when not needed, with the establishment of a
shorter time to turn off the screen (2 minutes or 1 minute) will go a
long way to alleviate the problem of the battery. In addition, long-life
batteries are replacement (usually with an accompanying agency coverage
of events to accommodate the additional volume) which is easily obtained
through your work day off external power.
A note on applications:
Android is an operating system from Google, and access to Android Market
for applications that require additional input through a Google / Gmail
(existing or created for the phone). In exchange requests, note that the
delivery of significant personal information in your phone, your location
(to the nearest cell tower minumum, and in some cases, the GPS-derived)
details of how to use applications phone. Providing this information is
the price of entry for the application functionality. I will not make
value judgments on what ... simply pointing to your information.
Finally, a note on prices:
Compare prices and pay attention when you're ready to make the transition
to a smartphone. To purchase hardware, you can expect significant price
differences (even if the upgrade discount and rebates are included) from
different vendors. Be sure to check each individual "shop" your provider
(brick and mortar, by phone and online), the box stores and even new
wireless Amazon. It is worth spending a few minutes in this research to
save a considerable amount in the
