                                                                                                                         In 2011, the Foundation for Rural Service
                                                                                                                         (FRS) will award thirty $2,500 scholar-
                                                                                                                         ships to rural high school seniors. FRS will
                                                                                                                         fund $2,000 of each scholarship, with the
                                                                                                                         sponsoring telecommunications provider
                                                                                                                         or associate member of each winning ap-
                                                                                                                         plicant providing a $500 match. Since the
                                                                                                                         inception of the FRS scholarship program
                                                                                                                         in 2000, the FRS has awarded $500,000 to
                                                                                                                         rural youth across the country.
