Key accountabilities
Beside the duties as a General Manager for a hotel, the Regional General Manager

Lead the Hotel Managers and their teams in assistance and close
relationship with the Area Director according to Budget and standard and
procedures.

   1. Accountability of the efficiency/productivity of the company results

   2. Set up and achieve the financial targets and preparing monthly reports

   3. Responsibility to manage Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts, in specific
      region based on Golden Tulip’s management concept through:
   - Strict benchmarking
   - Streamlining of operational procedures
   - Launch new and existing concepts for meeting facilities, restaurant, bars and
      bedrooms.
   - Quality assurance through standards & procedures for trainings, guest and
      employee satisfaction surveys
   - Corporate identity

   4. Be accountable for responsibilities of Hotel Managers during their absence

   5.   Other tasks;
   -    Other reliable to the above mentioned tasks in order of the executive
   -    Handing over opinions and beliefs, decisions etc. to the executives
   -    Leading internal and external meetings
   -    Supervise the fulfilment of statutory regulations of
               Employment legalization
               Health & Safety
               HACCP
               Fire regulations and other legal requirements
   -   Maintain contacts with public authorities

All hotels run in accordance with the standard operating procedures and policies as
set out by Golden Tulip. The management of each hotel shall see to the
implementation of optimal and attractive products and services required to address
the hotel’s target groups, based on pre-agreed mission statements, marketing- and
business plans and budgets.

To develop Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts, the Regional Hotel Manager is the
contact person in specific region for all interested business partners, companies and
groups, who are looking for a co operation with Golden Tulip, based on a franchise
level or as an operated hotel. The Regional Manager will give a statement and a
mystery check report to Area Director and CFO.

Competencies:

The job holder is in co operation with Area Director authorized for leading each Hotel
Manager in the specific area.

Legal transactions:

Based on the Golden Tulip standards & procedures, the job holder is not authorized
for any legal transaction, unless a written authorization of the board or the Area
Director is available.

Modifications of this Job description:

Modifications, based on former discussion with Area Director or advised by a member
of the board are possible anytime.

Hotel manager – Profile

Education:
   • General education related to hospitality, on higher management
      level.

Work   experience:
  •    At least 5 years experience within the hotel industry in Hotel Management
  •    Full service hotel
  •    Min. 150 rooms

Professional skills:
   • Excellent written English and copy-writing skills.
   • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
   • Experience with several hotel operation systems (such as Fidelio, P.O.S.),
   • Skilful in finance, project planning/ tasks and able to prioritise projects/ tasks.
   • International experience

     • Highly managerial capacities
     • Highly organized and efficient individual
     • Good communicator

     • Both team player and captain (hands-on)
