Traditionally, document review has been the highest cost activity and the most demanding in terms of the attorney effort. At its most basic level, review is intended to be used to sort out responsive documents to produce and privileged documents to withhold. In today’s world of terabytes of collected documents, the anticipated review effort can often lead corporations to prematurely settle. Ledjit offers many solutions for documents review projects: external review by outside counsel with remote access to our secure hosting environment (see Hosting) or turnkey review solution. Leveraging the results of Ledjit’s Document Processing team, our multi-lingual team provides concurrent review in English, French and Spanish to ensure that the context and content are reviewed across languages consistently. Having already benefitted from the processing efforts and reducing the document set to a reasonable size, our Attorney Review Teams are able to perform the reviews in Canada, the US or offshore depending on the specific requirements of each case. Ledjit can also provide the training, management and oversight of supplemental review teams. Document review is performed in either the native document format or TIF using a standardized, repeatable process to rapidly process, defensibly search and intelligently cull the documents set into the most relevant documents. Privilege logs are prepared and as appropriate, redaction can be provided on the reviewed document set. The resulting document set for production has the highest quality and relevance, is legally defensible and created at the lowest possible costs to the client.
