Canon i950 Photo Printer
You Get Great Photos Out Of It, Eats Ink For Lunch And Breakfast
Canons i950 is a high-quality photo printer that boasts speed, accurate
color, and affordability. Canons MicroFine Droplet Technology, a 4,800 x
1,200 dpi maximum resolution, and up to 49 gradation levels combine to
create bright, crisp images. Over 3,000 print nozzles deliver precise 2-
picoliter droplets, resulting in surprisingly accurate, uniform prints. With
borderless printing, you can create edge-to-edge photos in a number of
popular sizes, with 4-by-6-inch prints taking as little as 37 seconds.
Canons Think Tank System lets you replace only those inks that run out,
as opposed to the entire cartridge. A wide variety of paper types are
supported, including envelopes, glossy photo cards, glossy photo paper,
transparencies, T-shirt transfers, and more. The i950 also supports the
Exif 2.2 standard, which along with the included Easy-PhotoPrint software
(Windows Only) results in high-quality images that rival those of
professional prints. The i950 is both Mac and PC compatible and comes
backed with a one-year limited warranty. Whats in the Box

This has been our main photo printer for a couple of years, actually.
Theres nothing fancy or special about it. It simply prints great photos for as
long as you are using the recommended Canon photo paper, the better the
papers quality, the better the pictures come out. The output is a bit slow
but, for as long as you dedicate it to photos printing only, and you should,
speed does not matter much. The quality does matter and, to me, its
almost indistinguishable from what you would get out of your average
Walmart photo lab.
The only negative about it is the enormous amount of ink it consumes. You
would probably need a new set of ink cartridges after every couple dozen
full 8.5/11 sheets, printed at the hi ghest resolution.
One final note of advice: use it for photos only, print on good quality Canon
paper and, chances are, it will serve you well for as long as you care to
use it. At least thats my experience.
