                Brief History
   Established in 2002
   Goal: to serve the Muslim community of St.
    Louis, especially in North St. Louis County
   Jumah Prayers were held at a rented location
    until October of 2006
   5 acres of land was purchased in October
    2003
   Masjid construction completed in October
    2006
             Current Building
   3600 square feet
   Capacity: 250 individuals
   Parking Spaces: 84
             Imam Abdul Wajid
•   In April 2009, Imam Abdul Wajid was hired as
    the full time Imam for NWIC
•   Memorized the Qur'an at Darul Uloom in
    Buffalo, NY at the age of 12
•   Spent 2 years in Egypt learning the Arabic
    language
•   Studied fiqh and hadith for 7 years at Jaamiah-
    ul-Uloom in Toronto

   Taraweeh Prayers in Ramadan

   Attendance at Jumah Prayers has been
    exceeding our current capacity
   Average total attendance for Jummah
    Prayers has been approx. 500
   Since November 2009, it has been
    necessary to hold 2 Jummah Prayers in
    order to accommodate all the musalleen
   Parking is also overcapacity – 5 to 7
    volunteers are needed to coordinate parking
    on Fridays

    building
   Total Building Capacity = 7680 square feet
   Addition of 124 parking spaces
   Total Parking Capacity = 208 spaces
