Citations
• Look-up vehicle number, using the plate number on the
citation. Make a note of the vehicle’s location.
• If it is a parking citation, scan to the person handling:
• LA and Gardena, to Linda S. in Gardena
• El Monte, to Joann in El Monte
• Orange and San Diego to Linda H. in Orange
• Colton and Palm Springs to Claudia in Colton
• If it is a moving violation, scan to the ZLM, unless
otherwise instructed. Send them the original.
• If it is an Owner’s citation, see what needs to be
corrected. Contact First Advantage if it a license issue.
VList
• New
• Add incoming vehicles to the VList, assigning numbers
using company’s numbering system, making sure that the
number does not exist anywhere else in the country (look
at rollup file, if necessary)
• If the vehicle make, model, type, etc, is not in the
validation tables, let Ted and Jeff know, so they can update
our list and the other Region’s list (all must be consistent)
• Add to RTA
• Add to the odometer file, in vehicle numerical order, in the
correct location
• Update RMS
(continued)
• Send a Receiver to Diane, via email, letting her know that the
vehicle has arrived
• If the vehicle is assigned to the LA Zone, submit a DVCR, when
Beverly notifies you
• If the vehicle is a Freightliner, fax them a copy of the Mickey
invoice, weight declaration, and a PFR Add form, as soon as the
vehicle is dispatched – you should have the temporary registration
within a day or two. Send the temporary registration to the branch
as soon as you receive it, so that the vehicle may be placed in
operation as soon as it arrives
• If the vehicle is an International, send the above documents to
FADV, along with the chassis invoice – they will take much longer
to get you the registration, since they are out–of-state, and
everything has to be done through the mail
• If the vehicle is not a Freightliner or International, check with
Diane to see if the manufacturer will do the registration
(continued)
• If the vehicle is other than a forklift or misc.
equipment, notify FADV. If the vehicle is other than a
Freightliner, FADV will have to do the registration.
