BID NOTICE
The City of San Marcos is soliciting sealed bids to be received in the office of the City Purchasing Manager,
Municipal Building – First Floor, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666 as outlined below:
Bid Number: IFB 209-049 City of San Marcos Interior Renovation–Disaster Room Headquarters Project
Scope of the Project: Remodel of existing 350 sq ft. storage area inside an existing one-story building for a
new off-site Technical Services server room.
Plans, specifications, and contract documents may be examined at the City of San Marcos, Purchasing Division,
630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666, 512.393.8170; Gomillion, Kester, Zimmerman, Inc., 516 West
Hopkins Street, San Marcos, Texas 78666; at plan rooms of AGC Plan Room at Austin and San Antonio; AGC of
America at San Antonio; Builders Exchange of Texas at San Antonio; Associated Builders at Austin; Mc-Graw
Hill Construction Dodge at San Antonio; and AGC of Texas at Austin.
A CD with the plans, specifications, and contract documents are available from the City of San Marcos,
Purchasing Division, Municipal Building – 1st Floor, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666, at no cost. CD’s
can only be picked up from 8:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. All addendums, bid tabulations,
etc. can only be downloaded at www.govbids.com by clicking on Texas Bid System Group link. Vendors must
be registered to download information.
Bidders must submit a cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond with their bid in the
amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted.
A pre-bid conference will be held on September 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the at the City of San Marcos
Municipal Building – 1st Floor, Human Resources Training Room, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666.
Bids must be received by the Office of the City Purchasing Manager, City of San Marcos Municipal Building –
1st Floor, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666 no later than by September 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Bids will
be opened and read aloud on September 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the City of San Marcos, Human Resources
Training Room, – 1st Floor Municipal Building, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666.
Award is scheduled for the October 20, 2009 City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. or any subsequent time
thereafter.
