2009 TRIM Notice Reference Guide
1. Parcel Identification Number (PIN): Unique identifier of each property. Can be used to look up information via the
Property Appraiser or Tax Collector websites.
2. County Taxing Authorities: This is the only portion of the notice that pertains to County taxes. Will generally only
include General Fund, Road, Health Unit, and Fire District. May also include Vilano Street Lighting District, St.
Augustine South Street Lighting District, or Summerhaven MSTU if subject property is located in specific districts.
3. Property’s Assessed Value, Total Exemptions, and Taxable Value: Values that are set by the Property Appraiser per
state guidelines. Any questions on these columns should be referred to the Property Appraiser at (904) 827-5500.
4. Your Property Taxes Last Year: The property taxes you paid last year based on the tax rates set by the various taxing
authorities.
5. Your Taxes This Year If Proposed Budget Change Is Made: The taxes you will pay this year based on tax rates set by
each taxing authority if they adopted their proposed budget changes. A comparison with column 3 illustrates the resulting
increase or decrease in tax as compared with last year.
6. Your Taxes This Year If No Budget Change is Made: The property taxes you would pay this year if the taxing
authorities adopted the same level of funding as last year.
