• 15 proposals were received by the
  Engineering Directorate and panel
  reviewed
• 4 new awards were made, each for
  $387,500 total for 3 years
• 2 awardees are postdoctoral fellows
• 2 are Relocation of spouse fellows

Total NSF investment to date: $69M

67% of the awards include Engineering activities

57% of the wards have an Engineering Principle

• Currently planning ’05 solicitation

• A survey conducted of the Fellows program, both
  awardees / declines to assess effectiveness –
  report to be published

• Site visits of IT awards – 6 to occur in June

• ENG IT and Leaders Awardees Meeting – being
  planned for late July – lessons learned on the path
  to advancing diversity in Engineering
