HBT 3052 Computer Technology
Credit: 1.0 Practical Arts/Technology
Grade: 10, 11, 12
Term: 2 Semesters
Dual Credit: CIS118 and CIS161

This course is designed for students who have already acquired a touch typing skill. Applications such as word
processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software, and the Internet will be taught. Students will be able to
perform computer operations commonly used in school/college, career, and personal lives. Students in the 11th and
12th grade will be eligible for dual (college) credit.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will demonstrate proficiency in
        Perform tasks related to specific jobs or cluster of jobs.
        Understand the conceptual framework underlying the acquired technical skills.
        Demonstrate an understanding of personal and work characteristics that contribute to effective job performance.
