The Tiniest Seed
By: Hudson Chase
Once there were two heroes that were
rhetorical twin brothers who were the
exact opposite of each other. They lived
on the island of Fewseeds. Reynon was
the youngest. He had blonde hair and was
slim and fast. He wore gold all the time.
Nonyer, the oldest, has black hair and
broad shoulders. He wore gold all the
time.
In their homeland there was a very meager amount of food to waste
until one day, all that was left was the tiniest seed. It was so small that it
looked like only enough food for a mouse. As small as it was, however it
was still food, and one of the brothers had to eat the seed for their survival.
Nonyer was walking along trail and looked up and saw that it looked as if it
would rain later on. Then he suddenly stopped, right there in front of him
was the tastiest looking seed he had ever seen, yet it was so small that it
was as big as his tip of his fingernail.
As he was about to pick it up, his brother, Reynon, was walking on the
path too, and he saw his brother about to pick up the seed. Knowing how
slow his brother was, and how fast he was he made a bee-line for the seed.
They both grabbed the seed at the same time and the amazing force of the
two’s grip on the seed made the seed shoot up to the tallest peak of the
nearby mountain. The two looked at each other puzzled but did not say a
word, and they took off. The two sprinted as fast as they could up the
mountain racing for the best seed ever made. Nonyer took the path were it
takes strength and brawn, On the other hand Reynon took the path were it
takes speed and agility to reach the top.
Halfway up the mountain the two brothers
were climbing the mountain like wild animals
that have not eaten in months. After the
enormous climb of the mountain the two
reached the peak. They were on separate sides
and were staring at each other with hatred and
deceit. Then a flash of lighting flew through the
sky, and it began to rain hard. When they
reached were the seed had fallen there was a
small hooded man with piercing green eyes that
seemed like they were looking right through you.
“Uh, old man, may I have the seed? I have not eaten in four days?”
Said Nonyer with a hint of caution in his voice.
“No old man! Give me the seed; I have not eaten in five days!”
“Young ones, you should plant the seed; if you do, then you will
have plenty of food,” the old man said in a wise tone. But the two
brothers were too busy arguing to listen.
“Listen!” yelled the man in strong tone. The two boys jumped in
surprise to hear.
“Plant the seed and you will have plenty of food.”
“Oh, I never thought of it that way,” exclaimed Reynon.
So the two brothers planted the seed and it turned into a apple
tree that multiplied to more apple trees. also the two brothers were
never enemies again. There was plenty of food in the land of
Fewseeds from this time on.
