Here is the total amount of funds awarded/allocated to the City of Columbia thus far: $28,346,208. However, this total does NOT
include the following awards/allocations:
$1,038,350 for TN Development Corporation
(as part of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds from HUD))
$141,886 for SC Primary Health Care Association
$500,269 for Eau Claire Cooperative Health Center
$225,210 for Richland Community Health Care Association
(as part of the Community Health Center Grants from HHS)
$750,000 for Assessment Coalition
(as part of Brownfield Grants from EPA)
If you add the above funds, the total becomes $31,001,923.
Also, the City has been awarded monies through the State Diesel Emission Reduction Grant to fund the retrofitting of 15 to 20 of the
City’s vehicles. The State is currently working on its final budget for all these discretionary grants. Once it is finalized, we will have
a definite number of vehicles and a definite award amount. (If all of the trucks were funded as submitted, the cost of the retrofit would
total approximately $131,000.)
