7th & 8th Grade Dance Contract
Dear Parents and Guardians:
In order for our school dances to be safe and successful, it is necessary to have clear expectations for
student behavior. Listed below are the regulations governing our school dances:
All dances are $10 cash at the door only! This admission includes disc jockey, food, drink, special engagements
and teacher chaperones. PLEASE NOTE THAT DANCES ARE FROM 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
No student may be dropped off prior to 6:50 p.m. - we simply are not ready to have students in the building prior
to the start time of the dance.
All school rules apply at the dances. Hats will not be permitted. Food and drink are not permitted in the area of the
dance. School dress code applies at all dances.
Only Garnet Valley Middle School students are permitted to attend our dances.
Students must be respectful and courteous to all chaperones and each other. Chaperones volunteer their time to
ensure that students have a safe and enjoyable evening.
If any student is observed displaying inappropriate behavior, or using foul language, they will be immediately
removed from the dance area until their parents are contacted.
Students must be picked up promptly at 9:00 p.m. Students picked up after 9:15 p.m. will be excluded from the
next dance. Repeated occurrences may result in exclusion from all dances. Remember, if you are late someone else
is inconvenienced during this time.
Students must remain inside the building until the dance is over at 9:00 p.m. We cannot supervise students outside
the building. If you need to pick your child up early, please come into the building and see one of the chaperones
for assistance.
We have read and fully understand the terms of the 7th & 8th Grade Dance Contract. This contract must be signed
and turned in at the first school dance the student attends.

We understand that any student who violates any regulation, who is disrespectful or displays inappropriate
behavior at these events, may be excluded from all future events. All school rules and regulations as outlined in the
"Student Assignment Book & Disciplinary Manual/Policy Book" apply.
It is important to note that your student will not be permitted to enter the dance without this signed
contract on file.
Students in 7th grade are to be dropped off and picked-up at the pool entrance to the Middle School. Eighth
grade students are to be dropped off and picked-up at the front entrance to the school.
