Acne is a common skin condition that occurs when oil and dead skin cells get trapped in the pit of the hair
follicle. Bacteria then begin to multiply and the area becomes inflamed producing pimples, blackheads
and whiteheads on the face and upper body. One thing about this pimple is that it does not have respect
for age, it doesn’t even care about your personality even if you are rich or poor and it can be very
embarrassing at times

Causes of Acne Pimple include:

In most cases pimples are caused by an increase in skin gland activities. This just means that in skin there
are hair follicles, and normal, natural skin oil that drains out of a pore or hair follicle gets clogged. The
clogged pore forms a blemish called a blackhead as the trapped oil oxidizes, dries out, and then turns

If the pore is so clogged that no air gets to it, a whitehead pimple forms. This is just a little infection
under the skin, but it can turn into a cyst when germs breed in the backed up oil. It is the cysts that leave a
permanent scar.

Hormonal change: Usually pimples occur due to the hormonal changes in the adolescence and in young
women during their period or when they are about to start their menstrual cycle. These hormones bring
some changes in the body appearances. Some men and women are sensitive to testosterone (a type of
hormone) which causes the sebaceous glands to produce more oil than in normal conditions. Oil gets
clogged in the skin pores which cause whiteheads or blackheads. When the bacteria start growing inside
these blackheads and whiteheads they turn to pimples.

OILY SKIN: This is rumored to be the main cause. Some hair products, cosmetics, cream and dusty
workplace makes your skin very oily. To avoid oily skin avoid using oily cosmetics or use antibacterial
non-oily face wash. Also wash your face at least twice a day with mild soap or non oily face wash. This is
to get rid of dirt and oil from pores, try to use natural facial creams for your face.

Treatment of Acne Pimple:

There are many ways to treat acne, which includes:

Benzyl peroxide: Benzyl peroxide encourages peeling of the outermost layer of the skin and, as
mentioned previously, is a mild bactericidal agent. It kills bacteria by virtue of its oxidizing properties. It
is often included in prescription acne medications, and in nonprescription acne products such as gels,
lotions, and cleansers. It may be used alone or with other treatments. At even low concentrations (2.5–
10%), benzyl peroxide diminishes the population of Propionibacterium acnes. The most common adverse
effects are dry skin and bleaching of the skin.

Drink more water every day: "Eight glasses of water a day can keep acne away the reason is that water
can carry waste material out of our body and it really helps heal and prevent acne flare-ups.

Apple Cider Vinegar. This kind of vinegar stabilizes the pH level of the skin while eliminating and
absorbing leftover oil. With a small portion of apple cider vinegar, use cotton balls in applying the diluted
solution to the affected area. You can adjust the dosage of the product if you want as long as you don’t
have sensitive skin. Wait till the solution dries up and then rinse after 10 minutes.

Aloe Vera: Used mostly to treat burns, aloe Vera is an effective method for removing acne scars.

Moisturize: Many topical acne products contain ingredients that dry the skin, so always use a moisturizer
that minimizes dryness and skin peeling. A gel-based moisturizer usually works well for oily skin. If you
have dry skin, try a moisturizing cream or lotion. Combination skin may need two products (cream or
lotion for the dry section; a gel for the oily part). Always hydrate your skin with water before you
moisturize it.

Use makeup sparingly: During a breakout, try to avoid wearing foundation, powder, or blush. If you do
wear makeup, wash it off at the end of the day. If possible, select oil-free cosmetics without added dyes
and chemicals. Water-based cosmetics are available. Read the ingredients list on the product label before

Lemon Juice: It’s a natural bleach and can be used to fade sunspots and freckles. Put a slice of lemon
over the spot and leave it for 10 minutes everyday for a week, or exfoliate by rubbing a cut lemon and
half a teaspoon of granulated sugar over the skin for a few minutes. Be careful not to get any lemon in
your eyes and stop immediately if you get a bad reaction as some people have extremely sensitive skin.

Cucumber Juice: Cucumber can soothe the skin. It prevents inflammation and further irritation.

Well that’s all the remedies and many much more that yet to be discovered.
