Chris Sellers, Chief Executive Officer
Chris applies his 20+ years of experience leading business innovation across the consumer retail industry
to drive mobeam’s corporate strategy and efforts to make mobile handsets relevant and useful at the
point of sale for both retailers and consumers. Chris works closely with leading retailers to push their
mobile digital capabilities to the next level across their global infrastructures. He has led mobeam
through a successful Series A venture round of funding with support from strategic investors including
yet2Ventures, Samsung Ventures and Mitsui, together with other independent investors.
Previously, as CEO of Agentrics, Chris led the world's leading retailers in business innovation; global
sourcing/procurement; logistics; supply chain; and product lifecycle management and development.
Prior to Agentrics, Chris held leadership positions at EDS, Syncra and Accenture, and served as CEO for
Information Resources, Inc (IRIc) United Kingdom.
Frequently published in international trade and industry media outlets as an expert resource on retail
technology, Chris is an undisputed influencer in the retail industry, and was voted by his peers and
named by Supermarket News to the Power 50 Most influential executives in the Retail Industry, two
years running.
Marcia Donner, Chief Operating Officer
Marcia brings over 25 years of diverse experience to lead operations for mobeam, with her role
encompassing finance, public relations, marketing, human resources and business operations. With
proven expertise in a variety of business environments, from global retailer business exchanges and
banking to retailer sourcing and procurement, Marcia leverages experience from her leadership roles
with Wells Fargo Bank, GNX and Agentrics to keep mobeam innovating and operating efficiently. Areas
of key experience include community and product development, customer service operations, mergers
and acquisition integration and global business partnerships.
John Osborne, Chief Technology Officer
Before joining mobeam, John co-founded Tarsin, a provider of a framework that allows retail brands to
design end-to-end mobile offerings deploying across all carriers, regions and handsets. Previously,
John served as a director and strategic consultant for Motorola, where he helped drive mass-market
mobile application solutions. Before Motorola, John helped launch yet2.com, a successful technology
and intellectual property licensing company. He also worked in strategic digital business consulting roles
with Sun Microsystems and Polaroid, and acted as the entrepreneur-in-residence at a number of other
technology startups including 3i, one of the world’s largest VC’s. In his early years, John founded Active
Imaging, one of the most successful imaging systems companies in Europe. Working with Apple, Active
Imaging helped release the first live WebCast of the Emmy’s in 1995.
Rob Daly, Vice President of Business Development
Rob joined mobeam in the spring of 2010 to assist in the expansion and build out of the retail and
consumer goods vertical. Prior to joining mobeam Rob was a partner at Alaris Consulting, which was
purchased by PricewaterhouseCoopers at the end of 2009. Prior to Alaris, Rob was Senior Vice President
of the Americas for Agentrics (the result of a merger between World Wide Retail Exchange and Global
Net Exchange). Rob has over twenty years of experience in technology and a proven record of success in
building customer relationships, managing complex global accounts, and consulting to Fortune 100
companies on strategic operational issues as well as technology process reengineering. Previous to his
role at Agentrics, Rob held key sales positions at EDS, Syncra Systems and PeopleSoft.
Dave Beebe, Vice President of Product Marketing
Dave joins mobeam as Vice President of Product Marketing from Ecrio, where he spent three years as
Director of Product Marketing. At Ecrio, Dave helped productize the mobeam technology, including early
product definition, design, development and market trial. Prior to Ecrio, Dave served as Senior Product
Marketing Manager at FusionOne, and was instrumental in the successful launch of the company’s
Backup Assistant service with Verizon Wireless. He previously held marketing positions with industry
innovators such as Borland, Symantec and Live Picture.
