The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is the largest combat veterans organization in the
United States and has been in existence since 1899. Annually, the 2.1 million members of the
VFW and its Auxiliaries volunteer more than 11 million hours in their communities.
From providing over $3 million in college scholarships and savings bonds for students
every year to encouraging elevation of the Department of Veterans Affairs to the president's
cabinet, the VFW is there.
The Caseyville VFW Post was established in 1938. It has honorably served Caseyville
and its surrounding communities and continues to serve as a community asset.
You are being contacted today in the hope that you would like to participate in the
establishment of a quarterly newsletter for the more than two hundred veterans and auxiliary
members who make up the Caseyville Memorial Post 1117.
Advertising rates will help offset printing and mailing, leaving more funds available to
continue to support the myriad of programs the post is involved with.
The first quarterly newsletter, mailed to all members of Post 1117 and its auxiliaries will
be published March 12, 2012. The second newsletter will be published June 11, 2012. The
third newsletter will be published September 10, 2012. The fourth newsletter will be
published December 10, 2012.
Your participation entitles you to the placement of an advertisement in ALL
quarterly newsletters in 2012. You will also receive a complimentary newsletter.
If you wish to be involved privately in the endeavor, we have a "Supporter"
program available as well!
