20 hours a month
Every majlis successful in Khidmat-e-Khalq achieved success through advanced planning and scheduling so
as to space out events in order to maximize attendance. Having variety has also helped keep people
interested. Keep an eye on the scorecard for guidance of how to maximize points.
Resources are available online such as Blood Drive step-by-step guide
(http://www.mkausa.org/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=96)
In addition to this Department Plan, additional documentation will be provided for each of the 6 department
goals/initiatives to provide Majalis will guidance on implementing each initiative. The step-by-step guide to
Blood Drives is one such example.
Each local Majlis is part of a region, and each region will be assigned to one of my two Naib Mohtamimeen.
Each local Nazim and Qaid will know who this Naib Mohtamim is so that they have a single point of contact in
the department of Khidmat-e-Khalq
• The most important initiative this year (1,000 bags of blood collection) will require no funds at all.
• The Adopt-a-Family and Adopt-a-School initiatives will require supplies to be collected either through
donations or through purchasing with local funds.
As usual, the department of Khidmat-e-Khalq will publish its scoreboard every month, along with its points
system so that every Majlis knows how to earn points. This provides complete transparency not only in
receiving awards but also in determining priorities.
6 department objectives have been outlined in order to provide local Nazimeen with a variety of different
programs to choose from. If, in addition, they would like to engage in other community service activites, they
will be rewarded according to the scorecard points system
All initiatives last throughout the entire year, with the exceptioin of the Adopt-a-Family initiative, which requires
immediate attention in November and December

Ensuring that we are meeting the requirements (Number of Clean
ups) Also participation levels (60% - Getting Everyone involved)
Arranging atleast 2 collective exemplary Waqar e Amal Activites
with community recognition in mind. Have to get local community
leaders involved. We have the Man Power lets use it to give our
Jamaat some exposure
This is a year long effort. The point of inception is an aggressive
awareness campaign regarding individual waqar e amal. This will
be created through meetings at a local levels and an Internet
Campaign and Video Clips at the National level. Next step -
Mosque Clean ups. Then we get the membership invovled in
collective efforts such as Adopt a Highway. Once we get to the
point of the collective exemplary Waqar e Amal, all khuddam will
be at the same wave length as to what we are trying to achieve
here, that is, establishing Dignity of Labor while attaining
maximum exposure and community recognition.
