Adam Palmer, MBA Student, Graduate Assistant
Mr. Palmer is a second year MBA student at East Carolina University. He graduated in
May of 2006 with a BS degree in General Business Administration from Louisiana State
University’s E.J. Ourso College of Business. Mr. Palmer has prior experience with
constructing business plans from entrepreneurship and small business management
classes taken at LSU. This is his fourth semester with the EI department where his duties
include management of the website, the Innov8r Series, and editing business plans. He
plans to graduate in May of 2008 and pursue a career in international management before
opening a small business of his own.
Adam Jones, MBA student, Graduate Assistant
Mr. Jones graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May 2003 with double BA degrees in
Spanish and psychology. During his undergraduate studies, he spent two months in
Seville, Spain, as part of a study abroad program. Following his graduation from UNC,
he taught Spanish 1 and 2 at Bertie High School for the 2003-2004 academic year. Mr.
Jones enrolled in the MBA program at East Carolina University in the Fall of 2004 and is
currently in his second year of the program. He plans to finish the program in the fall of
2006.
Hermann Wendorff, MBA Student, Graduate Assistant
Mr. Wendorff is an MBA student who plans to graduate in May 2007. He received a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Methodist College in 1998. From the
time of his graduation until enrolling at East Carolina University in 2005, Mr. Wendorff
was a sports journalist covering events and issues of regional and national interest for The
Fayetteville Observer in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He plans to pursue a career in
commercial banking, and to that end will begin BB&T's Leadership Development
Program in January 2007. Mr. Wendorff is active in professional and service
organizations such as the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, the North Carolina
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the North Carolina Society of Hispanic
Professionals.
Aaron Schiener, MBA Student, Graduate Assistant
Mr. Schiener is in his first semester of the MBA program at East Carolina University. He
graduated with a BA in Economics from NC State University in December of
2003. While seeking his undergraduate degree he worked in operations for State
Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) and was offered a full time position after graduation
specializing in ATM systems and enhancements. After completing his MBA, he is
interested in a career in financial security at the national level. At the EI he is working on
marketing the Innov8r Series and reviewing business plans for the ENC - Investor
Network. Aaron loves to play soccer, billiards, and is ecstatic to be getting married this
December.
Angela Ianuzzi, MBA Student, Graduate Assistant
Ms. Ianuzzi is a first year graduate student in the MBA program at East Carolina. She
graduated from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, PA in 2003 with a degree in
Business Administration Management and a minor in Psychology. Before enrolling at
ECU, Ms. Ianuzzi was employed by Sheetz, Inc., a family-owned and operated
convenience retailer, in Altoona, PA where she was the Public Relations, Community
Support and Special Events Coordinator. She has also worked for Mount Aloysius
College as the Marketing and Public Relations Associate and has interned at Walt Disney
World in Orlando, FL. Ms. Ianuzzi plans to graduate from the MBA program in
December 2008. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in higher education by
obtaining a doctorate in business.
Kelly Gowen, MBA Student, Graduate Assistant
Ms. Gowen is in her third semester of the MBA program at East Carolina
University. She plans to graduate in the spring semester of 2008. In 2006, Ms. Gowen
graduated with a BSBA in accounting from East Carolina University. This is her third
semester working with Entrepreneurial Initiatives. After graduation Ms. Gowen plans to
move back to the Washington D.C. area and work in the accounting field.
Rob Apple, MSA Student, Graduate Assistant
Mr. Apple is in his final semester in the MSA program at East Carolina University. He
plans on graduating in December of 2007 with a BSA/MSA degree in Accounting. Mr.
Apple has been working with the Entrepreneurship Initiative since May 2007. After
graduation, he plans on working for a large CPA firm.
