MCAS New River, North Carolina

Technical Support Representative for Marine Corps Air Station New River, NC supporting the Marine

Sierra Hotel Aviation Readiness Program (M-SHARP). Primary subject matter expert and technical

support advisor to Marine aviation units aboard MCAS New River. Provide daily onsite and virtual

support for aviation activities to assist in maintaining a high level of aircrew training and combat

readiness in accordance with Navy and Marine Corps directives. Conduct regular classroom training

for new users and system administrators as well as periodic briefs and status reports to commanders

and higher headquarters activities. Support all east coast Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)

deployment preparation as a component of the Deployed Group System Interoperability Testing

(DGSIT) team. Ensure proper integration and interoperability of M-SHARP at sea with other

shipboard systems on Amphibious aircraft carriers. Primary M-SHARP training liaison to the Aviation

Operations Specialist School at NAS Meridian, MS.



2/2006 – 7/2007 ~ Air Operations Chief, U.S. Marine Corps,

MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina

Operations Chief, Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 2. Supervised the daily activities of the

Aviation Operations Department. Managed flight schedule publication, crew scheduling, pilot flight

minimums, training and qualifications. Compiled statistics for operational reporting to include

personnel, training, equipment, maintenance, and unit readiness statistical reports. As the unit Anti-

Terrorism/Force Protection Coordinator, monitored protective posture and security measures in Iraq.

Recommended changes in unit protective posture to meet current threat levels.

Operations Chief, Marine Aircraft Group 24. Supervised the daily operational activities of the Aviation
