DirectRooms.com – The Messiah Run is ready to dance in Lille during 31
January to 1 February 2012
Running from 31st January to 1st February, Messiah Run is a contemporary dance show that
takes place on the evening of both days, in the city of Lille.
Online PR News – 15-January-2012 Choreographed by Hans Van den Broeck, a Flemish independent
–
choreographer, the style of the performance features many points typical of Flemish dances; it is strong and
physical, with a nervous edge, which fits the theme. The story told by the dancers is at once beautiful and
disturbing, as the audience become concerned for the characters and witness, through the dance, the
violence in our contemporary world.
Seven performers take to the stage in a tale of the worries and perceptions of the modern day. The
performers must face this world, which confronts them with data that circulates the globe and forces them to
face their history and that of others, as the audience are presented with images of memories and
conscience. The question of the place of the human race in time and space is raised and most importantly,
the question of whether a transcendent order will come into being, whether there is a Messiah to whom the
race can look.
The show, Messiah Run, takes place in the national theatre of Lille, La Rose des Vents. It runs on the
evenings of the 31st January and 1st February, starting at 8pm. Prices vary from €20 for full admission to €5
for children and the unemployed.
Visitors going to Lille for the show have a choice of many Lille Hotels with a wide range of amenities.
Whatever type of accommodation they select they will be well looked after and be situated in a central
location. Both the hotels and the dance show are likely to be booked-up quickly, so it is essential to reserve
rooms and seat well in advance.
