Yes, I agree with Tenner stating an expression loses some of its luster if it turns
out that someone else previously published the same phrase. Once someone else has
published a phrase it no longer feels original to come up with the same ideas. The idea is
already known by others to belong to that writer. One feels as if they aren’t getting the
credit they deserve for coming up with something on their own.
