Who is Neil Gaiman?

• He is one of the bestselling authors in

modern comics, as well as writer of

books for readers of all ages.

• He is listed in the dictionary of literary

biography as one of the top ten post-

modern writers.

• He is also a profile creator of works of

poetry, prose, journalism, comics, film,

song lyrics, and drama.

Books By This Author

• The Sandman

• Stardust

• American Gods

• Coraline

• The Graveyard Book

What are a few examples of his

comics?

• The Theatre of Night's Dreaming

• The Facts in the Case of the Departure

of Miss Finch

Neil Gaiman

• In the next few slides, there will

be some of the books that Neil

Gaiman wrote. I will conclude a

brief summary about the book.

Coraline

• The day after they

moved in, Coraline went

exploring in Coraline's

family's new flat.

Thirteen of the doors

open and close. The

fourteenth is locked,

and on the other side is

only a brick wall, until

the day Coraline

unlocks the door to find

a passage to another

flat in another house

just like her own.

The Graveyard Book

• Nobody Owens, known

to his friends as Bod, is

a normal boy. He would

be completely normal if

he didn't live in a

graveyard, being raised

and educated by

ghosts, with a guardian

who belongs to neither

the world of the living

or of the dead.

Stardust

• Neil Gaiman wrote

this book to honor

the simpler fairy

tales, and fantasies

of times past, where

a town was taken to

a magical place and

a person could

wonder without

restraint if he or she

chose.

The Sandman

• This book is a book

of dreams, it isn’t

really a comic, or a

graphic novel. I

would suppose it is

an anthonology of

short stories.

American Gods

• A man named

Shadow is serving

the last days of a

three-year assault,

he is relieved that

he will soon be

joining his beloved

wife and their

interrupted life.

The Facts In the Case of the

Departure of Miss Finch

• “Miss Finch” is

narrated by a man

who never tells us

his name, a writer

very much like Neil

Gaiman. He’s an

Englishman, back in

London for a short

time to write a film

script in peace and

semi-secrecy.

Neverwhere

• This book is a

fantasy that first

aired in 1996, this

series is in set in

London. It’s a

magical realm

existing with the

more familiar

London, it was

devised by Neil

Gaiman and Lenny

Henry.

Good Omens

• It is a book about a two

angels one fallen and

one still standing and

their latest job

assignment. Good

Omens uses the

circumstances to

explore the idea of what

it means to be good,

evil, most of all, human.
