College of Business Community Agreement

The Business Community or “Business Matters” is designed for freshmen who have decided to major or minor in
business or are considering doing so. Business is a large and exciting field and students will learn about the wide
variety of business careers and the concentrations offered to business majors and minors.
You will need to print TWO copies of this form. Sign and return one copy with your housing license agreement.
Bring the second copy with you to New Student Orientation in June 2009. At orientation you will register for your
required courses and other courses as suggested by your advisor. In total you are required to take a minimum of 12
units to maintain your housing eligibility.
Recommended Courses:
Fall 2009:
Appropriate English, Mathematics, and Segment I and II courses as advised at orientation. If ready for Quantitative
Reasoning (QR), take DS 110 (Segment I QR) and ECON 100 (GE Segment II BSS)
Spring 2010:
Appropriate English, Mathematics, and Segment I and II courses on advisement if completed QR and ECON 100
in Fall 2009, take ECON 101 and DS 212
EXPECTATIONS OF PARTICIPANTS: Please initial each statement to indicate you have read and understand
