electrochemistry, organic chemistry and nuclear chemistry. The Advanced Placement Course of Study published by the
College Board will be used as the guide for this course. To earn credit for IB Chemistry, students must be enrolled in the IB
Programme. Students who wish to earn advanced placement college credit must take and score well on the AP Chemistry
examination. To earn weighted credit, students must take the AP Chemistry examination. These courses fulfill the
graduation requirement for two credits in physical science for the advanced academic diploma. Content in science courses
will change with the implementation of the new Alabama Course of Study: Science for the 2006-2007 school year.
