As laid down in BFVA’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, membership of the company is open to all voluntary and charitable organisations and statutory bodies operating in the Bracknell Forest borough whose objects are consistent with those of BFVA, and who meet the current membership criteria, and any individual over the age of 18 years who is in sympathy with the object of BFVA.

CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP OF BFVA
BFVA would ideally wish that a group has the following criteria in place: • • • • • A written constitution or other form of governing document An elected committee Regular committee meetings An Annual General Meeting involving all stakeholders of the organisation The production of annual accounts that are subject to some form of external evaluation
However, we recognize that smaller groups may not have all the criteria for membership. If this is the case, please contact Sally Thompson to discuss your situation further.
