MASTER OF ARTS IN TEACHING
The M.A.T. program is a preparation program for those who hold a
D e p a r t m e n t o f Te a c h i n g a n d L e a r n i n g
bachelor’s degree and seek teacher certification. The M.A.T. is offered
for those wishing to teach at the Secondary Education level in Biology,
Broad Field Science, Business, Chemistry, Economics, English, Family
and Consumer Sciences, Geography, History, Math, Physics, or
Political Science, and at grades P-12 in Spanish. The M.A.T. is also
offered in Middle Grades and Special Education, although students
may still acquire certification through those undergraduate B.S.Ed.
