TENNIS RULES and REGULATIONS
The following Tennis Rules and Regulations will be enforced by the Onion Creek
Club staff under the authority of the Owner.
1. RULING AUTHORITY The rules of the United States Tennis Association shall
apply to all members and their guests.
2. COURT RESERVATIONS
A. Reservations may be made only by a member through the tennis pro
shop.
B. Reservations will be taken a maximum of 2 weeks in advance.
C. Play will be 1-1/2 hours for singles and 2 hours for doubles in blocks
set by the tennis professional.
D. No consecutive reservations by any individual or another individual
with whom a player is playing may be on the book on a given day.
E. Members and their guests must register in the tennis shop before
proceeding to an assigned court. Failure to register may result in a
fine.
F. Members who do not arrive within 15 minutes of their reserved time
may find their reservations canceled.
G. Failure to cancel a reserved court at least 30 minutes prior to play
may result in a fine.
H. Certain courts are set aside for open play from time to time. The
tennis professional will be available to assist play.
I. The Owner shall set aside certain courts at specified times for use for
authorized play (exhibitions, league play, membership activity).
J. Tournaments will be approved by the Owner and shall have priority
over other use of the courts.
3. A JUNIOR PLAYER is a person 16 years of age or younger. On weekends and
after 7pm on weekdays, adult member play takes priority on all courts.
4. PLAYER APPEARANCE AND CONDUCT
A. Appropriate tennis attire must be worn at all times. Shirts and
regulation tennis shoes are required. Cutoffs and blue jeans are
prohibited.
B. The staff is authorized to reprimand or eject from the courts any
player(s) who use abusive language or throw racquets during tennis
play.
C. No outside Food and Beverage is allowed at any time.

5. COURT MAINTENANCE AND CARE
A. All trash and cigarette butts must be placed in the receptacles
provided in the courts area.
B. NO food is permitted on the courts.
C. Hitting tennis balls against the windscreens is strictly prohibited.
D. All players must brush the clay courts after play
6. SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN No small children are allowed on the courts or
on the club premises without full parental supervision.
7. GUESTS
A. Guests are welcome to play at Onion Creek Club according to the
following conditions:
1. Guests must be sponsored or accompanied by a member.
2. When courts are not in use by members, a guest may pay the
applicable guest fee and play, understanding that if members
request the court the guest will vacate the courts promptly.
B. Applicable guest fees shall apply.
8. COMPLIANCE Any member or guest not complying with the above rules will
be brought to the attention of the Owner of Onion Creek Club.
