READING TENNIS CLUB COACHING JANUARY TO MARCH 2012



Coaching takes place on the floodlit hard courts on the Reading University Whiteknights campus off Shinfield Rd.

Indoor Sessions for Mini Tennis Red & Orange Groups

*The Saturday 9am and 9.55am groups will take place in the University sports centre (SportsPark) for sessions from

the 7th of January to the 18th of February and outdoors on the hard tennis courts from the 25th of February to the end of

term.



*The Sunday 9am group will take place indoors in the University sports centre (SportsPark) for the full term. There

will be no coaching on Sunday the 15th of January as the courts are not available on this date.



Joining Groups

If any group is oversubscribed, places in the group will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Players can join

a group part way through the term and pay on a pro rata basis if there is space in the group.



Bad Weather

Some lessons could be lost to bad weather and this is already reflected in the price of the courses. A maximum of one

extra session will be added to the end of the courses to make up for any sessions lost to the weather.



Private Lessons

If you are interested in private individual or group lessons please contact the coach directly.



Equipment

Players are advised to bring a drink and a sun hat to day time sessions. A racket can be provided for any players

without their own (if aged 11 and over please let the coach know in advance to ensure that enough are available).

Lawn Tennis Association British Tennis Membership Scheme

To help us to run competitions within the coaching program, we would like all junior and mini tennis players in the

coaching program to join the Lawn Tennis Association British Tennis Membership scheme. To join you can visit

www.lta.org.uk/britishtennismembership/ or call 020 8487 7000 or the coach can give you a form. All junior players

in the Reading Tennis Club coaching program are entitled to free LTA membership. When you sign up please put

Reading Tennis Club as your affiliated club as this will entitle you to free LTA membership and will also benefit the

club.
