Clemson Tiger Tennis Camp 2012
Important Camp Information and Reminders
Thank you for your reservation with Clemson Tiger Tennis Camp! Please read the following
information carefully.
Overnight campers will register in the courtyard between McCabe and Holmes Dorms located across
from the Calhoun Mansion in the center of campus from 2:30-4:00 PM. Day and Purple campers will
register at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center on the Clemson University campus at 6:00 PM. The tennis
center is located to the north of the soccer stadium on Highway 93 and directly across the road from the
Mellow Mushroom. Signs will direct you to the appropriate parking area for overnight, day and purple
campers. Camp counselors will guide you from parking to the registration table.
** Note: Check-in for Overnight and Day/Purple Campers are in different locations.
o Session 1 Sunday, June 3, 2:30-4 pm Overnight 6 pm Day Campers
o Session 2 Sunday, June 10, 2:30-4 pm Overnight 6 pm Day Campers
o Session 3 Sunday, June 17, 2:30-4 pm Overnight 6 pm Day Campers
o Session 4 Sunday, July 24, 2:30-4 pm Overnight 6 pm Day Campers/Purple Camp
Key Deposit-At check-in a $50.00 key deposit is required for overnight campers. Cash or check
(made payable to Clemson Tiger Tennis Camp). At check-out the entire key deposit fee is refunded when
the key is returned. There is no refund for a lost key.
Camp Closing Ceremonies at Hoke Sloan Tennis Center/Check-out: The closing award ceremony for
Overnight and Day Campers is THURSDAY at 4:30 PM at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. The award
ceremony for the Purple Camp ONLY is THURSDAY at 11:00 AM at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center.
Everyone is invited so please try to attend.
On Thursday immediately after the camp closing ceremony please check-out and pick-up overnight
campers at 5:00 p.m. at their respective dormitories.
Meals-The first meal provided for the Overnight Campers will be Sunday dinner at 4:30 p.m. and the last
meal provided will be Thursday lunch at 12:30 p.m.
ATTN: DAY CAMPERS and PURPLE CAMPERS-Please note the important Evaluation Session on
Sunday evening is at 6:30PM. For Purple campers this should last approximately until 7:30 PM for
Purple Campers. For Overnight and Day Campers the evaluation lasts to 9 PM followed by the Camp
Welcome Meeting and Staff Introductions. This lasts to approximately 9:30 pm.

Clemson Tiger Tennis Camp Rules
During the week(s) you are at camp, you will take part in an intensive program of tennis instruction and
participation. Every activity is carefully designed to help you reach your maximum tennis potential.
Your daily schedule will include a morning running program, four hours of on court instruction and drill
work. In addition there will be match play, and daily classroom sessions. Classroom sessions will
include tennis films, motivational talks, tactical presentations, sports psychology and special guest
speakers in each camp week. Other evening activities will include Olympic Night, a special evening of
camp relays and camp competition at Bowman Field on the Clemson campus. Movie Night allows you
to rest your legs while you enjoy an evening at the local Clemson Movie Theatre. All-Star
Championship/Swim Night gives you the opportunity to challenge your instructors on the court as you
enjoy your last evening at camp. After the All-Star Challenge Competition the Fike Recreation Pool is
open for a relaxing swim.
In order for you to enjoy the full benefit of all the camp activities on and off the court, you will be
expected to abide by the following camp rules in order to ensure your safety:
Every camper is expected to be on campus throughout the entire week. Besides all group
activities you are allowed only in the Game room and Union area when not in the dormitory.
You are expected to be present and on time for all activities.
Absolutely no profanity, smoking, drinking, drugs etc. are allowed at camp.
Proper attire must be worn in the cafeteria and in the hallways of the dormitories at all times.
Camp curfew with lights out is 10:30 p.m. each night.
Keep rooms neat and orderly.
Campers driving to camp are asked to please turn their keys in at camp registration check-in for
the duration of the camp. There is no need for driving while attending camp.
You will have a terrific time at camp while improving your tennis; therefore, pranks of any
nature which risk injury and damage to property will not be tolerated. Campers breaking camp
rules will be sent home. The guardians of the campers will be held accountable for any property
damage.
ATTN: DAY and PURPLE CAMPERS – Please note the important evaluation session
begins at 6:30 pm following registration. Purple camp evaluation lasts to 7:30 pm while day
and overnight camp evaluation lasts to 9:00 pm.
On the first night of camp following the evaluation of day and overnight campers an in-depth orientation
will introduce you to the Clemson Tiger Tennis Camp Staff. This meeting will help you become
familiar with the camp organization and serve as a review of your camp responsibilities. We want your
camp experience to be the very best.
