Istanbul is a mythical place where you can see the remains of many ancient civilizations and

The majority of buildings in the north in Taksim and Nisantasi are made of concrete and are
from the 1970s and 1980s, while further north could the modern skyscrapers of glass and steel
enclosure of the city to see the current fiscal quarter.
Land of the Blind
A famous myth explains the unique location of Istanbul:
Byzantium commander, who gave his name to the kingdom later called as Byzantine, sets off
to sail into a new colony from where Greece is located today to build.
During the long journey and his quest, he goes to an oracle for advice. The oracle makes this
prediction: “You’re going to build your city right across the country, the blinds,” continued
his journey to reach the shores of Byzas Sarayburnu, the Istanbul today.
When he sees this protected peninsula, he thinks that the only place he was looking for, since
he noticed in the area of the residence on the opposite side. Byzas realized at this point the
meaning of the oracle because he thought that the people, the outstanding residential area
directly in front of them given, but prefer not to be there must be blind.
At this point in his colony on this land, built without any hesitation. The city was named
Constantinople, and before the Turkish occupation in 1453 had lived great days of glory and
wealth as the capital of the Byzantine Empire.
