The Ontario Sewer and Watermain Construction
Association (OSWCA) and the Greater Toronto Sewer
and Watermain Contractors Association (GTSWCA) are
committed to the provision of safe and sustainable
water and sewage systems across Ontario.
We are currently looking for candidates to fill the OSWCA
following two roles:
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Executive Director will report to the Presidents of the two associations, and will be a proven
leader and manager with well developed administrative, human resources, finance and strategic
partnering experience as well as the ability to develop and apply strategies that ensure the
goals and objectives of the Associations are met.
Our preferred candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Relevant
industry sector experience, a technical background in the industry including professional
qualifications and experience in media relations would be an asset.
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS DIRECTOR
The Government Relations Director will report to the Executive Director and will have 10 years
experience in government relations, a significant portion of which will have been with the Ontario
provincial government. The principal function for this position will be to promote OSWCA’s efforts
to increase the understanding and support of the public, politicians and bureaucrats to provide
adequate sustainable funding measures for the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance
of Ontario’s vital water and sewer infrastructure.
Our preferred candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strategic
partnering and media relations experience. Relevant industry sector knowledge would be an
asset. A relevant degree or equivalent in training and experience is required.
Salaries will commensurate with experience.
