Welcome
to the
Bunny Bulletin
The Bunny Bulletin is the Bunny Village monthly magazine. It was founded in September 1998 and is
distributed free of charge to every household and business in the Parish of Bunny.
It is produced by a team of volunteers and is funded by Bunny Parish Council and advertising.
The Editorial Committee is conscious that the population of Bunny is constantly changing and is
aware that the sense of community that many of us value is in danger of being lost. By promoting
village activities and events, raising issues that affect the life of the village, giving a voice to Bunny
residents and supporting local businesses and trades‐people, we hope to foster a sense of belonging
in those who live in our village.

EDITORIAL FOR SEPTEMBER 2009
Turn to the centre pages. Pull out the bus timetables that you will find there, then pin
them on your kitchen notice board - job done! A word of warning - these timetables have
been edited down as the originals were too unwieldy to reproduce in the Bulletin - I think
(hope) that we have included the essentials for Bunny residents AND THAT THERE ARE
NO ERRORS!
On page 2 there is an advertisement for a new restaurant in Loughborough - The Printroom
- check it out sometime.
We are beginning our twelfth year of publication with a series of cover stories featuring
those Bunny residents who serve the village through the office that they hold in the Church
or on the Parish Council. As she is new to the village and keen to meet you all, we have
started with our recently appointed curate, Christine, who is living in Bunny vicarage.
Please say “hello” to her when you see her about.
Quite a lot of church stuff this month - and it is not just for churchgoers - dig out your bike
and join Christine on the Historic Churches Bike Ride (p35). Did you know that no-one from
Bunny has ever taken part in this? Perhaps the bike owners amongst us could put that
right this year! I could do with some help from anyone interested in Bunny Church as part
of our architectural heritage (p24) and Revd. Margaret needs a few more bodies to fill the
coach for her trip to Worcester. You don’t have to be a church-goer to join any of these
enterprises.
New to Bunny? Have a look at the inside back cover, where you will find a list of the various
groups in the village - you might just find something of interest and you could get to
know a few people in the process.
