Enzo Ferrari Biography









Enzo Ferrari (born February 18, 1898 - died August 14, 1988 at

age 90 years) was a founder of the Scuderia Ferrari racing team

and later became part of Ferrari products. He was born in

Modena, but in 1916, his father died of the flu outbreak. He

built his company by making a few sports cars that use his name

and given the Prancing Horse emblem.





Prancing Horse emblem was inspired by a painting that adorn

the body of a fighter plane flown by Francesco Baracca in World

War I. Ferrari originally put the machine in front of the car, like

the other cars. However, since 1961, Ferrari cars the engine is

placed behind.





Enzo Ferrari died in 1988 and his name immortalized as one brand of car.





Born in Modena, Enzo Ferrari grew up with little formal education but he has a strong desire to become

a racer. During World War I, he served on the front row of the Italian army. His father, Alfredo, died in

1916 due to a widespread flu outbreak in Italy at that time. Ferrari was also stricken with the flu and he

was released from his job. When he arrived at his house, he learned that his family's finances in a state

threatened. Ferrari tried to get a job at Fiat (a car company in Italy) but failed, then he found a job in a

smaller car company called CMN, used truck design into a smaller car. He is also a racer in 1919 at the

CMN team, but not so successful.





He left CMN in 1920 and became the team's drivers in Alfa Romeo (a car company in Italy), he managed

to achieve success more than ever. In 1923, he followed the car racing in Ravenna and was awarded a

badge of The Prancing Horse (Prancing Horse) that decorate the plane Francesco Barraca (a leader of

Italian troops). This logo is waiting for 9 years until finally used a symbol of a racing car. In 1924, Ferrari

won the Coppa Acerbo (a race car) in Pescara, Italy. He experienced success in local races and

encourages Alfa to provide the opportunity to follow a more prestigious race. Ferrari did not take the

chance and did not race until 1927. He continued to work directly for alpha Romeo until 1929 before

making the Scuderia Ferrari racing team for Alfa.





Ferrari set the company's activities Alfa cars and formed a team consisting of more than 40 drivers,

including Giuseppe Campari and Tazio Nuvolari. Ferrari himself continued racing until the birth of her

first child in 1932 (Alfredo Ferrari, known as Dino, who died in 1956).





Alfa Romeo ended in 1933 when financial problems make alpha withdraw. Therefore, the intervention

the Mille Miglia in 1940 the company produced two cars to compete, driven by Alberto Ascari and

Lotario Rangoni. During World War II, the production company involved in the war, moved from

Modena to Maranello. Not until after World War II who was asked by Ferrari to hold the reputation of

the fascist and homemade cars that bear his name, founded Ferrari SpA this day in 1947. The first race

was an open-wheel in Turin in 1948 and later entered the first victory of the year in Lago di Garda.

In 1960 an issue of lack of demand and inadequate financing forced Ferrari to allow Fiat to take stake in

the company. Ferrari had offered Ford the opportunity to buy the company in 1963 for U.S. $ 18 million

decision to launch a serious European sports Kareta race. The company became joint-stock and Fiat took

Ferrari remained managing director until 1971. Although retired, he remains influential in the company

After his death a son Alfredo (Dino), iconic Ferrari wore sunglasses almost every day to honor her son.
