Ethernet VPN (VPLS) network, running on top of MPLS.
Ethernet (layer2) addressing and Ethernet MAC learning to switch
traffic from 1 site to another.

The Explore backbone in Ethernet mode can be configured in 3 ways:
Transparent, VLAN-based or Flat VLAN
