Excerpts from Leadership Conference

SUMMARY OF MINISTRY STRENGTHS

For over 42 years The Church of the Redeemer Baptist has been a lighthouse in the community

and experienced a fruitful ministry, leading many people to Christ and helping believers

become grounded and rooted in their faith. In recent years, Redeemer has been blessed with

significant growth and an expanding influence for Christ in the community. Today, Redeemer

still enjoys the benefits of stable and well tenured leadership, along with a highly commited

group of believers who enjoy one another and desire to see Redeemer truly experience what is

expressed in your slogan: “A church in the Word, under the cross, ministering to the world.”

God has strategically placed you in a needy field of opportunity with 2.3 million people within

twelve miles of your church, providing great potential for significant eternal impact! Your

church appears postured to go to the next level of ministry impact in the community. Naturally,

when God is working, our enemy lurks nearby waiting for an opportunity to exploit any

weaknesses or areas of neglect. With appropriate cautions being needed, we believe some of

the most exciting and fruitful days in the history of The Church of the Redeemer Baptist are just

ahead.

Center For Ministry Advancement

Ministry Is A Journey…Wise Leaders Seek Guidance

T E A M

As God’s messenger, I give each of you this warning: Be honest in your estimate of

yourselves, measuring your value by how much faith God has given you. Just as our

bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body.

We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we

are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others.

God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the

ability to prophesy, speak out when you have faith that God is speaking through you. If

your gift is that of serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, do a good job

teaching. If your gift is to encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously.

If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a

gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. Don’t just pretend that you love others,

really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. Love each other

with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy in your

work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.

Invitation to Christian Discipleship

Offertory Prayer

Praise God from whom all blessing flow;

Praise Him, all creatures here below;

Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen

Benediction

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O

Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19: 14

Psalm 16: 1-11

1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my

goodness extendeth not to thee;

3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom

is all my delight.

4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another

god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up

their names into my lips.

5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou

maintainest my lot

6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly

heritage.

7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also

instruct me in the night seasons.

8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right

hand, I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall

rest in hope.

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine

Holy One to see corruption.

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy;

at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
